Situated on the multiple award-winning upscale beach resort of Horizon Sky near Bodrum, this spacious air-conditioned penthouse has been furnished to a very high contemporary standard and can accommodate four people in great comfort.
The property boasts an enormous terrace with panoramic views of the sea and surrounding areas, which guests can enjoy al fresco from the luxury of their own Jacuzzi. There is also a swimming pool to the side of the apartment, so no need to go to the main pools if you fancy a nice relaxing day in!
Inside, there's a roomy open-plan living-dining-kitchen area with patio doors leading directly onto the terrace. The modern kitchen is equipped to a high specification, and the dining area seats up to six people. The luxurious living area has a ipod docking station, 40-inch flat-screen TV and a DVD player, (which features a USB port, allowing guests to bring and watch their own viewing material).
The apartment's airy bedrooms also features patio doors, which lead onto the terrace, and a 20-inch flat-screen TV. It has a built-in mirrored wardrobe complete with drawers. There's also a large contemporary en-suite bathroom, with a bath and power-shower, and double sinks to the main bedroom and a ensuite shower and toilet to the guest bedroom.
Guests benefit from the use of a safe and free WiFi at the resort (by the main pool).
The resort itself boasts several swimming pools, beach bar (currently not open) and shop (for basics only), and friendly and helpful on-site staff. A private boat transfer service operates from Horizon Sky's private beach and jetty, to and from the nearby atmospheric fishing town of Güllük, in which there are several good dining establishments and bars, (which we would be happy to recommend), along with a decent-sized supermarket, a pharmacy, bakeries, coffee shops, and several banks. Taxis and mini-buses may be taken to the buzzing town of Bodrum from here. Güllük is also only 15 minutes away by cab from Bodrum Airport, (a one way journey costs approximately 40 YTL).
Please note that while the penthouse forms part of a phase in the development of Horizon Sky that has already been completed, development work is still underway in parts of the resort. Development work is suspended this year between 15th April to 15th October.

The Turkish Aegean Coast region
The Turquoise Coast and Lycia region of Turkey is home to some of its most well known resorts.
Olu Deniz is famed for its blue lagoon, and the whole of the coastline is very beautiful.
Marmaris is a more European style resort, but still boasts a lovely old town quarter. Quieter resorts such as Foca, Cesme and Kusadasi are all old port villages which have reinvented themselves.
The Horizon Sky Resort is located in the historically rich region of Bodrum, in the bay of Gulluk. This region is well known as 'Iasos' and its history dates back to 3000BC.
Although, the quintessential charm of small harbour and fishing villages such as Gulluk, has not been lost and consumed by over development.
The ancient city of Bodrum is said to be founded by Dorian settlers in Greece from around 1000BC. Since then the area has had a tempestuous period of change and different rulers.
The city came under Ottoman rule in 1522 AD Suleyman the Magnificent captured Rhodes and forced the knights to move to Malta. in 1522 AD, Ottoman rule took over. This was known as 'Petrion' after the Castle of St. Peter, and this became in Turkish 'Bodrum', the name by which the town is known today.
With its colourful history and monuments attesting to such, Bodrum exerts a lasting fascination on its multitude of visitors year on year, irrespective of age or nationality. There is so much that this region offers and is more than suitable for an interesting getaway, whether you are after culturally rich tours, busy nights out in Bodrum, a romantic evening in a cosy tavern over looking the bays from the small villages, or just a relaxing break away by the pool whilst soaking up the sunny weather. Bodrum and the surrounding areas offer it all.

"Excellent standard of accommodation, a completely relaxing holiday."
The penthouse apartment that we stayed in was absolutely beautiful, spotless, and contained everything that you could need. It was very luxurious, and I thought extremely good value for the price. We enjoyed buying food from the shop in Gulluk and cooking dinner to eat on the balcony with a beautiful view. The small shop on the resort stocked more than we were expecting. As well as the basics you could buy cured meats, fresh bread, cheese frozen chicken, snacks etc. There are shops in Gulluk though which are well stocked and cheap. If you like swimming or relaxing by the pool this is the perfect resort. We often had a choice of pools all to ourselves, sometimes there were other people around but it wasn't busy at any point. We stayed in June. The best day out that we had was a boat trip from Gulluk on Mehmet's boat, near where you get the ferry to Horizon Sky. It is 8 hours which sounds like a long time, but it was packed full of entertainment, we had a great time and a cooked lunch on the boat was included, it only cost about £15 per person. I would also recommend going to Med Inn for an amazing meal in a very pretty and romantic setting. If you get in one of the taxi's in Gulluk they take you there for the equivalent of about £5 each way. It is expensive compared to other restaurants locally but not compared to what we are used to paying at home. The people on the resort are very helpful. The hills are very steep and it is worth asking for a lift in the buggy to get up to the apartment. You can walk up the hill but will be very out of breath. When we went there were always plenty of people around to ask to take us up in a buggy. Thank you for a brilliant holiday, I will definitely recommend staying in your apartment to people I know.

"Spacious apartment with wonderful views from the terrace"
Seamless arrival at the apartment via boat and golf buggy and, being quite late at night, the view over the bay from the large terrace was dramatic. The apartment was well provided and exceptionally modern and comfortable. The kitchen had everything possibly required for cooking but we ate out every night in Gulluk at some very good restaurants. An excellent apartment to which I would hope to return in the future.
