The Turkish Aegean Coast region
Turkey abounds with historical attractions and ruins, and there are many to be seen around the peninsular.
Close by are the ancient ruins of Iosos and a little further afield is Ephesus - with some of the most important remains from the ancient world.
The Aegean (otherwise known as Turquoise) Coast, boasts some of the best scenery anywhere in the world.
The area abounds with activities and things to see of all kinds.
A stunning new golf course has just opened at the Vita Park Golf Resort, Tuzla, just a 10 minute drive from the apartment.
All inclusive food, drink, entertainmant and facilities packages can be purchased very cheaply (from 30TL per day) at Mavi Resort by the beach within 3 mins walk of the apartment.
The cheap minibuses (Dolmus) run from the village and can take you anywhere in Turkey, including frequent buses to Bodrum and many other surrounding coastal villages and attractions.
Many facilities are on your doorstep. The many and varied facilities of the Mavi holiday resort (incl sea front bar and restaurant) may also be used.
Watersports of all kinds can be undertaken from the nearby village. Take advantage of tremendous all day boat trips for around £10 incl lunch.
Gulluk will soon have its own marina and is expected to rival that of Bodrum. Many refer to it as the new 'Monte Carlo'.
The fishing village is charming and still shows off its traditional pasttimes, but equally abounds with modern; welcoming and lowly priced bars and restaurants dotted all the way around the pretty bay, starting within a few minutes walk of the apartment.
The bay now has a newly extended promenade - perfect for a beautiful and romantic stroll in the glorius and warm evenings.
Bodrum is a lively 'international' resort with many quality shops and restaurants. Thousands of boats moor in the marina and boat trips of all types (including some to nearby Greek islands) can be taken. There are many historical attractions in and around the town including the old castle and mausoleum.
The peninsular is rugged and picturesque and is home to many tiny fishing villages.

"stunning view of the Aegean Sea"
Lovely, clean apartment with plenty of space which comfortably accommodated 7 of us.It was a bonus to be situated on the ground floor with the terrace overlooking the pool and the beautiful view of the Aegean coastline. It is conveniently located within walking distance to the village of Gulluk, where there are a number of beaches, bars and restaurants ,all reasonably priced. Nearby Bodrum is a livelier resort and a must see, plenty of shops and restaurants with a beautiful marina and Gumbet offers lots of watersports. There are plenty of nightclubs and the famous Halikarnos nightclub is an amazing experience. There is plenty to do and visit , boat trips are fun and the ruins of Ephesus is definitely worth the visit. We had an amazing time here and already planning coming back and staying here ,would greatly recommend !

"Lovely apartment, in very nice village"
We (3 friends) visited this apartment in mid May and had a great time. The apartment is very spacious and well kept and has everything you could need. The complex is lovely and as it was early in the season we pretty much had the pool to ourselves the whole week! The apartment is about a metre from the good sized pool and terrace with a wonderful view, the sunsets are pretty amazing in the evening! Gulluk is a lovely Turkish town which is about a ten min walk from the apartment, plenty of good restaurants all serving very good food, particularly the fish. For a bit of a more lively place we visited Bodrum for the day, but as we had come for a relaxing week Gulluk was perfect, we went on a day long boat trip which I would definitely recommend. We had a brilliant holiday in Gulluk and would really recommend this apartment to anyone.

"Unforgettable holiday in Gulluk"
We spent 6 nights 7 days in Gulluk in September this year after our wedding with our extended family..The flat was really comfortable, spacious and had stunning views from the balcony..We stayed around the pool to chill out and we walked to the town centre whenever we wanted as the location of the flat is so convenient. We hired a car for 2 days and drove around the amazing villages in Bodrum peninsula..We had one of our best holidays in Gulluk..Roger Farr has been really kind and helpful from the moment we requested to rent the flat and made our holiday unforgettable..Everything we needed for every one of us was there..

"Wonderful Time in Gulluk and Bodrum"
Turkey is absolutely wonderful! We were fortunate to arrive prior to peak tourist season so we basically had the whole complex to ourselves. The Apartment is located right at pool side with an absolutely stunning view of the Aegean sea. It could not have been better, with a cool breeze off the water in the evenings. The management company is professional and ever so helpful with anything that may arise. If you need any assistance you call them. Our apartment was spacious, and clean. Everything you need such as groceries and household items are a 15 minute walk away. The people in the village are friendly and you feel like you belong there. Pick a favorite restaurant, attend regularly, and you will feel like you are a member of the family. Small buses leave several times a day for Bodrum which many are calling the jewel of the mediterranean. There you will find more friendly people, a very immaculately clean city, great restaurants and lots to see. You must go to Bodrum castle to see the Nautical Museum. Turkey was much more than we expected and we will definitely be making it a regular travel destination for our family. The owner Roger was excellent to deal with and it is obvious that he has been doing this for some time. You will receive an orientation package from him and arrangements can be made by him to have you picked up at the airport by the management company and delivered to your doorstep. Thanks so much!

We had the most wonderful stay in this gorgeous apartment. We were two families (eight in total). The apartment is huge and had every amenity you could imagine. When we opened the doors to the patio and saw the view of the pool and see in the background, it took our breath away. The complex is very quiet and extremely friendly. Gulluk village is wonderful and has some lovely restaurants - we would recommend Eski Depo Restaurant in town - Jimmy will look after you and they are brilliant! I would recommend this apartment and holiday to anyone!!!! We will always remember it and would love to go back (now) - hopefully next year ....
This review is typical of the great many that we have received in all of our 8 years of renting out our wonderful apartment. Unfortunately all of these past reviews were removed from the property listing when Holiday Lettings and Trip Advisor came together recently, but we wish to point out that this review fairly reflects the views of all who stay in our well equipped and well located apartment.

"Wonderful views, fantastic apartment, loads of space, every convenience"
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this apartment, the views are the best you can have, all the facilities in the apartment make it a 1st class home from home. In June I usually had the pool to myself. The other people on the site owned their homes and took great pride in keeping the place very clean and all the plants were in full bloom. If I had a gripe it would be the owners description of being up a "slope", it was definitely up a hill.! However it was worth it for the views. Plenty of bars and restaurants around, all very reasonably priced, and the locals are very friendly. All in all a great holiday.
Please do not be put off by the description of a "hill". It is just a 200m walk (2 mins) from the coast road into Gulluk centre and a further 100m to the sea. The short gradient is between 10% and 15% and will not seriously adversely affect holidaymakers other than those with mobility difficulties. But as the guest reports, the views are "worth it". Also, the dolmus buses run right past the complex, so there no need to walk if you do not wish to.
