Situated on a working farm in Three Oaks, East Sussex, this two bedroom cottage in the heart of 1066 Country is a delightful, family friendly holiday cottage.

This converted cattle shed has been renovated keeping all the building's charms, including exposed beams and cosy woodburning stove, and is finished to a very high standard. Underfloor heating throughout and individual room stats, and a modern wet room give this holiday property a touch of luxury. An open plan lounge and kitchen with colourful sofas and the woodburner make a cosy, welcoming area to spend lazy afternoons and evenings. There are two bedroom - off the lounge is the twin bedroom and a double bedroom off the hallway. The cottage is family and dog friendly and a travel cot and highchair can be requested for your stay. You have your own private enclosed patio area to enjoy off the lounge.

The East Sussex region

Sussex is in the south east of England stretching along the English Channel from Rye in the east to Chichester Harbour and Emsworth in the west with many fine blue flag beaches in between.

The chalk downland of the South Downs National Park cover a large part of Sussex from where they meet the sea at Beachy Head in East Sussex through to the Hampshire border near South Harting in the west.

Chichester is the cathedral city of Sussex and Brighton and Hove on the Sussex coast is considered to be one of the most cosmopolitan cities in Europe. Arundel and Lewes are two historic towns within the county both have imposing castles and are popular towns to visit.

The climate enjoyed in Sussex is above the average for Great Britain, which makes it ideal for visiting throughout the year.

Guestling

1066 Country walks on your doorstep, Three Oaks is a good base for exploring the area. The village has a pub and a train station where you catch a train to Hastings or Rye. Rye is about seven miles away and enjoys a colourful historic past and is worth a visit. The beaches of Pett Level, Winchelsea Beach and Camber Sands are all within twenty minutes drive. Hastings is only six miles away and is a traditional seaside resort with amusements and crazy golf or galleries and museums to browse. Castles, National Trust Gardens and Grand Houses are in plentiful supply whether you head along the coast or venture inland. A trip to Battle Abbey, Bodiam Castle and Batemans are all worthy of a visit.
