Very well maintained 3 bedroom apartment on the top floor with views of landscaped gardens, pools, mountains and golf course. There is one terrace with sun loungers, a table and chairs. We have WIFI! There are 2 large communal pools and a baby pool which is surrounded by the well kept gardens. We are located on Guadalmina Golf Course - (36 holes) - one of Marbella's most established and conveniently well connected by road, being close to all amenities and within a short walking distance of San Pedro with its lovely shops, cafés and tapas bars. Puerto Banus with its luxury yachts, open air restaurants and alfresco bars is 5 minutes drive away. A 10 minute drive will take you to Marbella and its fabulous beaches and restaurants in the old town. This spacious penthouse features 3 generously sized bedrooms; 2 bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen & lounge area with comfortable sofas & stunning dining suite to seat 8. As mentioned, the apartment is no more than 10minutes away from San Pedro, Marbella or Puerto Banus so it is a great base and location for all activities and destinations in the Costa Del Sol, as well as for day trips to Ronda, Granada, Seville and a boat trip to Tangier in Africa! Also, a 15 minute drive away is the beautiful village of Benahavis set in the mountains of La Serrania de Ronda, with its small winding cobbled streets and authentic Spanish restaurants.

We can recommend plenty of fantastic restaurants, bars, clubs, shops and any kind of service you may require in the local and surrounding areas so when booking please do ask us!

This has been our holiday home for nearly 12 years now, bought off plan so a one owner property and we would love for you to enjoy it as much as we have thus endeavour to ensure you have an enjoyable and relaxed stay.

Please note we have two large portable air con units in the apartment which can be used (we can provide instructions on how) but all rooms have ceiling fans and bedrooms have free standing fans as well which has been good enough for us over the years, making the apartment cool and relaxing even in the hottest of summer weather. All rooms have shutter blinds and bedroom 1 and the lounge area both lead out onto the fabulous sun trap balcony overlooking the Guadalmina Golf Course.In the underground car park ,lifts take you and your luggage/shopping/prams easily and directly to the floor of the apartment. This apartment is like a home away from home , and not the usual claustrophobic apartments that will be advertised.

The Andalucia region

The area is famous for its hundreds of beaches to be enjoyed along this coast, from quiet, hidden coves to trendy stretches of sand with fashionable beach clubs populated by celebrities and beautiful people from all over the world. One of the most popular pastimes on the Costa is golf – there are over 50 golf courses in the area, with stunning mountain and clifftop locations, offering spectacular views over the areas varied landscapes, and down to the sea. Less well-known, but definitely worth a visit, are the many stunning national parks around Malaga province, often located just a short, easy drive inland. You can go hiking, caving, wild swimming, four-wheel-driving, horse-riding and countess other adventurous activities. For a less strenuous day out, the villages of the Axarquia region are some of the most picturesque in all of Spain. If night-time is your time, then you'll find a huge selection of bars and clubs along the coast, especially around Marbella and Puerto Banus, ranging from the fun and easygoing, to the chic and sophisticated.

The Costa de Sol can be divided into two sections, with Malaga city at its centre. The eastern Costa del Sol is much shorter, stretching from the provincial capital as far as Nerja, where it meets the Costa Tropical of Granada province. The western Costa de Sol is the section of coast which curves round southwards towards Gibraltar, and includes all the major resorts such as Fuengirola, Torremolinos and Benalmadena, plus of course, the ritzy celeb-magnet of Marbella. This section has a very international feel, with visitors and residents from all over the world.

But if you're coming to the coast on holiday, don't miss Malaga city, which has reinvented itself in recent years as a cultural and gastronomic centre. It has an unparalleled offering of museums, including the Picasso Museum, a buzzing contemporary arts scene, and top-class tapas bars and restaurants. The eastern part of the Costa del Sol is less developed; it starts at the border with Granada province, whose own coastal area is called the Costa Tropical. This part stretches for 54km to the east of Malaga city, and is less developed than the section on the other side of the provincial capital. From Malaga eastwards there are cliffs up to 200m high where the Sierra Almijara joins the sea. Nerja is the most important town in this part of the coast, and while it has grown substantially, providing much of the eastern Costa del Sols holiday accommodation, the town has still managed to retain plenty of character. This town also has one of the areas major attractions - the Nerja Caves, a spectacular site well worth visiting to see the spectacular caverns – here you can go to the annual international music and dance festival with its unusual location – inside the caves! Below Nerja town, a winding footpath joins several coves, and there are some good beaches to be found in this area. The western part of the coast has a different vibe to it – its very lively in terms of nightlife and beach clubs, and has a buzzing atmosphere all year round, with many expat residents choosing to make their home here. This section begins at Malaga city and stretches westward all the way to the border of Cádiz province. This part of the coast is highly developed in terms of both property and infrastructure, with excellent transport and many investment opportunities. This part of the Costa del Sol attracts a large proportion of Spain's international holiday visitors, both beachgoers and also cruise passengers, who arrive in increasing numbers at Malaga port. In addition to the Costa del Sol in Malaga province, a short section of this coast is, in fact, located in Cadiz province – the southernmost part, near Gibraltar. This stretch includes the exclusive port and residential developments of Sotogrande, where Spain's most expensive real estate is located, as well as Alcaidesa which has set strict limits on any further development of its town.

Guadalmina

Around Guadalmina - The Guadalmina Commercial Centre has a good choice of amenities and services, including a large supermarket, deli, banks, numerous restaurants and cafés, an English language bookstore, an excellent children's indoor play park, which serves great food for both kids and adults, furniture stores, and many other retail outlets. Beaches - The beach at Guadalmina offers a pretty stretch of golden sands, with both beach restaurants and stylish beach bars. Puerto Banus beach is 5 minutes away, and from there down to Estepona, the beaches offer excellent facilities, clean sands and lots of activities.

Eating Out

The commercial centre and urbanisation of Guadalmina have a very good selection of restaurants, mainly international. The nearby resorts of San Pedro, Marbella and Estepona are all within 10 minutes drive and offer an even larger selection of dining options. Guadalmina enjoys a sub-tropical Mediterranean climate, with hot summers and warm winters. Cooling breezes from the sea make the summer heat manageable; temperatures average 32 ºC during the summer. This apartment is in a quiet area in the heart of the Costa del Sol, surrounded by a host of leisure facilities. Located on the Guadalmina golf courses means golf lovers are spoilt for choice. Marbella with its beautiful streets and squares is a 10 min drive. Puerto Banus with its abundance of restaurants, bars, shops, casino, night life and expensive yachts is a 5 min drive away. San Pedro with its quaint streets and squares is within easy walking distance. A host of amenities including restaurants, banks and a supermarket are at the end of the road. The beach is a 2 min drive, or 10 min walk away. The beach promenade offers many cafes bars and restaurants. A fantastic watersports facility is close by that the whole family will enjoy. The Selwo Animal Safari Park is not far and a must see for all ages. Gibraltar is only a 30 min drive down the coast where you can shop duty free, sight see or get a boat over to Morocco. Other Activities: seasonal fiestas The Costa del Sol can truly be described as the perfect haven for the golfer. There are numerous local golf courses to choose from and many internationally famous for the tournaments they have held, including the Ryder Cup. You can play golf here for more than 360 days a year, without getting wet. Due in no small part to the great climate where golfers of all levels can play throughout the year and choose between over 50 fabulous courses. The properties are situated in the heart of the Costa del Golf and the entire area is a golfers paradise with over 35 courses within easy reach. The concentration of quality courses, the unique sunny and warm climate, and the hospitality of the local people make the area absolutely ideal for lovers of this sport. When Valderama was chosen to host the & Ryder Cup in 1997, the Costa del Sol received world-wide recognition as being the best Winter Golf Resort in Europe. The final honour was the selection of Valderama to host the World Championship in November 1999.
