“Fantastic apartment .......home from home!”

Reviewed 4 May 2013

Our 1st visit to Edinburgh and what a find Greyfriars Bobby apartment was!! Axel (owner) made contact prior to visit to give us basic info and he was there to meet us on arrival giving a wealth of advice on local pubs, restaurants etc as well as showing us around the apartment. The fridge was stocked with supplies to enable us not to worry about anything until we found our bearings. Being a fussy person who usually can find teeny faults, no matter how hard I tried everything was 100%. Everything was spotlessly clean and it really did feel like home. We had a mixed bag of weather and the real fire was the icing on the cake. The apartment is perfectly positioned for all your sightseeing needs with most of the major attractions within a 15 minute walk. If you are planning a trip to Edinburgh I cannot recommend Greyfriars Bobby highly enough. We plan to return and will not hesitate to rebook.

“Perfection. You've found it here.”

Reviewed 5 Jul 2012

I've read others' comments, which give a fantastic overview of the place. My title says it all - this apartment is literally perfection. This was my home base for 10 days and I mean HOME. Forget the hotels, forget the other flats you're thinking about. Contact Axel and make it happen. He is literally the nicest guy in Scotland. I will remember this trip for the rest of my life; Greyfriars #4 is a huge part of why it was so amazing.

“Our best stay ever in Edinburgh!!”

Reviewed 10 Jun 2012

I don't think we will ever stay in a hotel in Edinburgh after our 11 day stay in the Greyfriars #4 flat! The location was excellent for exploring the city and the flat really exceeded our expectations! Axel was so helpful meeting us at the flat with the keys and a folder full of tips for the neighborhood. The flat was spotless and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It was so nice to come home at the end of the day to so much space and be able to spread out, which is impossible in a hotel room. The views from the flat were amazing too and we couldn't have asked for a better neighborhood for our stay. Thanks so much for an amazing holiday in your beautiful city.

“Excellent Accommodation and Location at great cost”

Reviewed 19 Dec 2011

We were very happy with this accommodation and the cost was great ,for all that was included. Many of the attractions were very close by ,as was transport. If you wanted to eat in, the kitchen facilities were very good, the supermarket was very close by also. We found the cafe and Travel Agency etc very friendly and made friends easily. The Apartment Owner was very helpful and accommodating. We felt we were staying in a first class place and would like to return.

“Great location, helpful owner, very comfortable flat. Overall, one of the best”

Reviewed 18 Nov 2011

It's always good to be one of the first, if not the first, people to rent an apartment. Very convenient location , right in the middle of Edinburgh so within walking distance of just about the everything you'd want to do. The owner was very helpful, even buying some groceries for me, and very prompt when meeting us. I would recommend this apartment to anyone without hesitation. Overall it was one of the best flats I've rented over the last ten years.

“A lovely little flat well located for exploring Edinburgh's Old Town”

Reviewed 25 Oct 2011

We had a great weekend stay in this well decorated, clean and cosy flat located on a bustling street just minutes from the Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle. It is also right opposite the Museum of Scotland. It provided a good base for exploring Edinburgh and was very good value for money. The owner was very helpful and provided useful information about places to visit and to eat and drink. We were also able to light the fire for a cosy night in.
