The Idre is an impressive and luxurious Scandinavian timber home providing spacious accommodation for 7 people. Located on the fairways of the 400 acre Caldecott Hall Golf Club & Country Estate in the village of Fritton on the south eastern reaches of the beautiful Norfolk Broads National Park. Built to a high standard, the property is triple glazed, has gas central heating throughout and benefits from its own two person sauna. It has been designed to be eco-friendly as it is very well insulated and has ultra low energy LED bulbs throughout. The three bedrooms are all on the ground floor with the spacious lounge, dining area and kitchen, making this accessible for wheelchair users. The two mezzanine areas are accessed by a spiral staircase, linked by a glass walkway and provide a great space to read, study or play. The property is exceptionally well furnished and has everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing break. Free wifi is included. Please read the outstanding reviews from previous guests.Situated a 2 minute walk from IDRE is the Barnworks Spa, owned and operated by Caldecott Hall Golf Club, which has a state of the art gym, with a swimming pool and luxurious jacuzzi and spa treatments are available. Please see the Caldecott Hall website for details and prices. The weather in Norfolk is drier and sunnier on average than any other part of the UK. With its easterly position, the Norfolk coast enjoys the longest days and some of the best weather for happy holidays in the UK.
Short breaks available outside peak times - minimum 3 night stay.
Bedlinen and towels are included but guests are asked to bring their own towels. If required towels can be provided for an extra charge of £30.
Strictly no Barbecues due to risk of fire.

For the comfort of all guests IDRE has a strict no smoking policy in the house or on the decked area.

The accommodation comprises: Ground Floor
Sitting Room: Vaulted ceiling, wooden laminate flooring and leather corner sofa group plus single armchair. Double doors lead onto a large decked area with uninterrupted views of the 10th and 18th fairways. Wifi controlled central heating. Gas fired (log effect) fire, large screen TV with Freeview and DVD player.
Kitchen: Fully fitted and well equipped, gas cooker, american style fridge / freezer, dishwasher and microwave.

Master Bedroom: Spacious with door leading onto the decked area. King size bed, bed side cabinets and built in wardrobe. Door to large en-suite bathroom.

“Excellent location, great accommodation”
Excellent location to explore Norfolk. Plenty of things to do for kids of all ages (horse sanctuary, golf, beach, etc). Very relaxing. Great accommodation, very clean and well appointed. Host was very helpful.

“Lovely lodge on golf course”
This was our second stay in this lodge, it is an ideal location for a golfing holiday. The lodge overlooks the 10th tee and 18th green, you can just walk straight out of the lodge and onto the golf course. With reduced rates on the golf course is was excellent value as well. The lodge is very comfortable, with plenty of room for our family of 5. It only takes around 20 minutes to get to Great Yarmouth. An excellent location, we will definitely return. I would recommend this property to all age groups, families and golfers.

“Excellent stay at idre - 2 Fairway Lakes”
Had a fantastic stay at Idre. We stayed as a family and grandparents. The location was great and not too far from gorleston beach where my eldest son was sailing in a regatta. The golf course was great and not too expensive to play, very relaxed allowing junior players to play. Idre actually looks out onto the 10th and 18th hole and is a stones throw from the club house and gym facilities. We felt it had something for everyone and all ages. Weather was also fantastic and Teresa 's communication was informative and responds quickly to any questions. Would definitely recommend this place.

We have stayed here numerous times over the last 6 years. The Idre is in a beautiful setting, a great base for visiting the surrounding area, or somewhere peaceful to come for a rest. We love it here, our children love it here, the lodge is well equipped, clean, with excellent facilities. We would have no hesitation recommending to anyone.

“Perfect cozy lazy hideaway with sauna and decking...”
The pictures don't do this place justice. It is a lovely location facing onto a golf course and literally next door to the Barn Works spa, pool and beauty centre. there is a sauna in the house which can be used anytime and is a lovely bonus. There is also a gas effect fire which is nice but the heating is so effective it was really warm. The open plan style inside is stunning and lots of windows give great light during the day. It is so quiet no noisy neighbours the perfect place to get away. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking as we were staying over Xmas and had to cook vast amounts of roasted vegetables etc. All in all highly reccomend.

We have just had a fantastic holiday at this superb lodge. W O W factor on entry with everything first class. Well equiped kitchen with everything provided and very clean, the bedrooms were also very clean and comfortable. The sauna is a bonus. A great place to explore Gt. Yarmouth, the Norfolk Broads and other beaches. We would definitely reccomend this accommodation.
