“Lovely caravan in good position”

Reviewed 25 Oct 2014

This was an excellent caravan and the owners had provided lots of additional equipment such as a Wii and board games as well as information about where to visit whilst in the area. The caravan was well equipped and having a rotary line on the patio was helpful. ( An indoor airer would have been useful as on rainy days, we had 7 swimming towels to dry out.) The site is busy during the school holidays but the pitches across the road from the main site (as ours was) are much better spaced, attractive and quieter. Thank you to the owners - we had a great stay.

“Lovely caravan, great site, close to beach.”

The caravan was very clean and spacious,There is plenty to do on site we had 3 children with us for long weekend and they didn't want to leave, I certainly would recommend to friends and family, and we will be returning next year.

“Nice beach, good location, nice caravan.”

Initially booking wasn't easy, we paid but got no confirmation & had to chase it up nearer the time. It was a bit of a panic thinking that it was scam! It turned out that the booking company hadn't communicated with the owner about a new booking system so she hadn't seen our payment! That was a bit of a stress worrying whether we were going on holiday or whether we had the long stressful task of getting our money back! This is our first ever caravan holiday so as you can imagine it was a bit stressful trying to book and finding out how to do it! Once confirmed travelling there wasn't to bad, we took our dog and 8 month old son. Unfortunately we got the weekend with the worse rain, but that can't be helped, we chilled out and it was therapeutic listening to rain on a caravan roof! The complex welcomed dogs, which was lovely and the staff made a fuss of our dog every time they saw him! The closeness to the beach was ideal and the beach was miles and miles of sand and sea and not over packed so my dog loved it! The complex was a close drive to yarmouth so we took our son to the sealife centre. It was close to supermarkets too and had its own convenience store on sure, but that was a bit expensive. The swimming pool was a joint in and outside pool, but because of the cold weather we found the pool a bit cold and was so busy because of the weekend, but our son had a bit of fun splashing around in it. The pass I found a bit expensive as we were too tired to watch the entertainment at night so paid £25 to go for a meal at the restaurant and go swimming a couple of times. The restaurant food wasn't nice at all, it was all microwave food, which sounded lovely on the menu but was horrible and wasn't that cheap for the quality! We went on the amusements there, which were a bit worn. The complex itself was a bit tired. We took our son to a kids group one morning, which he enjoyed. The staff were friendly and helpful on the complex. We hired a travel cot aswell while there, which was useful as we couldn't fit everything in the car and as usual I over packed as I didn't get to wear my summer clothes!! The caravan was excellent! The beach, location and caravan made the holiday! It was comfortable and although the weather was bad we didn't get to use the outside of it, I can imagine it would be lovely to have a BBQ and use the decking area. We watched DVDs when our son went to bed and just chilled out. The rooms were nice and everything looked quite new and of a good standard. It had everything we needed and felt homely and modern. We had to be out of the caravan by 10am which I thought was a bit early and I wanted to clean the caravan well and leave it in a good condition, so that was a bit of a rush trying to get everything packed and my son sorted and the dog walked and ready. I think it was a bit on the expensive side for the time we were there (Friday 2pm to Monday 10am) plus food, drink and enetrtainment pass on top of that. I think it worked out better value staying longer. Overall it was nice to get away and would go again but would stay longer.
