Situated on a quiet road, this comfortable villa offers tranquility and privacy but with all the comforts of home.

The pool is salt water for your sole use. On the terrace there is a BBQ, retractable canopy over the table and chairs with seating for 6, sun loungers with covers and a large private garden with trees and flowering shrubs providing some shade on hot sunny days.

It's within easy walking distance to the village of Gravelle with a bakery, bar and a butcher. There is a small restaurant in the next village of Razac, where you can enjoy a four course lunch for around 11 euros. The nearest supermarkets are in Chancelade (5km),St. Astier (7km) and Perigueux (10km).

There is a large forest behind the house where you can truly get away from it all. You won't see many people but you may see wild deer, otters, falcons and eagles, bring your binoculars and walking boots and if you like sunflowers the area is known for its fields full of these beautiful flowers, brightening up the surrounding countryside in late summer.

The villa has central heating and an open fireplace for cooler days and romantic nights.

Inside the villa you will find all the comforts of home. There's an open fireplace with logs provided, fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances. Digital TV, computer with broadband and wi-fi access plus an i-pod dock/i-phone charger. An extra fridge in the garage for all your beer and wine stock. Linen and towels provided. Central heating and open fireplace for cooler days and romantic nights. Full information pack provided with ideas on where to visit, where to shop, where to eat out, best market days, etc. with a questionnaire for you to comment back to us on your stay.

The private salt water pool is alarmed for your extra safety. Totally enclosed, large private garden which is not overlooked and laid to lawn - ideal for ball games. The terrace has seating for 6 for al-fresco dining with a retractable canopy which offers shade against the sun. In the evening there is an outside light so you can stay out till after dark. In summer the sun is on the garden all day from sunrise to sunset and even in winter, if the sun shines it shines on us.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Paula (the owner) a message.

If Paula (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
