Location description from owner

The Scotland region

LOTHIANS/EDINBURGH
There is no shortage of things to do and see in Edinburgh and the surrounding areas. Edinburgh has an abundance of historic buildings, places of interest, museums, galleries, theatres, cinemas and shops. Day trips or even longer breaks are readily available to destinations out of Edinburgh to see more of what Scotland has to offer. Lots of leaflets and tourist information are available in the apartment and further help is provided from the Tourist Information Centre (above Waverley Station) on Princes St.
As well as the world renowned Edinburgh International and Fringe Festival in August there is the Edinburgh International Film Festival in June and the Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival in July.
Cycling and walking trips are aplenty and if you like golf there are many golf courses in and around Edinburgh.
Take a hike up Arthurs Seat and get the best view of Edinburgh or visit Rosslyn Glen and its Chapel made infamous by The Da Vinci Code.

Grassmarket

The Grassmarket is in the historic centre of Edinburgh and is home to numerous bistros, cafes, Scottish pubs and specialist shops selling antiques, books, cashmere, clothes and much more. Restaurants in the pedestrianised areas allow for al fresco eating and drinking within the proximity of the castle with festival and tourist venues all around. The area is steeped in history. Public hangings were held here and it was the haunting ground of the famous body snatchers Burke and Hare. During the summer the place comes alive with street performers, musicians and special events. A quick stroll will take you up to the Royal Mile and the Castle or along to Princes street through its lovely gardens.

“Lovely little apartment”

Reviewed 24 Nov 2016

Lovely little apartment just off the Grassmarket, Charlotte was lovely and very accommodating, supplying us fresh bread, milk, tea, coffee etc. The apartment had everything you need for a short stay in Edinburgh. Lovely and clean with a very fresh smell. I am quite tall and did struggle with cold feet as they poked out of the end of the bed Would definitely stay again. And we will recommend to others Thanks Charlotte!

“Exactly what we needed!! Great views!!!”

Reviewed 5 Mar 2015

Possibly one of the best views of the castle in the city. Everything was close by so easy walk to all attractions no need for taxis or buses!! Met by Charlotte at the apartment shown around and told best places to eat and visit, was very well presented and had exactly what we needed. Milk, juice and bread was left by Charlotte which was a lovely gesture for our morning breakfast! Would definitely stay here again and view more of the city!! Thank you for making our stay ... Wonderful!!
