Description

Olive Grove Farmhouse is a typical Andalucian farmhouse which has had a complete reform retaining the characteristics of an Andalucian farmhouse and offering modern day comforts.

There is another self-contained accommodation available for paying guests here on HouseTrip which is the the Corner House at Olive Grove Farmhouse .. The third accommodation is occupied by Helen, the proprietor, who is in residence for most of the year.

The first floor apartment in our beautifully reformed old Andalucian farmhouse is self-contained with it's own door into the apartment. There is a shared entrance hall with a short flight of stairs to the apartment.

The double bedroom is converted from the old barn and has a fabulous beamed vaulted ceiling.

The kitchen-diner window and salon french windows have fabulous views across valleys and mountains as far as the Sierra Morena mountain range. It is a very spacious apartment and has a log burner for the cold evenings in the

Up to 2 children under 10 years old can stay on the sofa beds free of charge. Over 10 years old we charge €10/night per person to stay on the sofa beds. Children must be supervised at all times.

Although self-catering, we provide all linen and the kitchen is fully equipped. Prices vary depending on length of rental, the longer the rental - the more economical. It is a very comfortable short or long term let both in summer and winter.

There are a variety of terraces to sit out on. The views are stunning. Lovely walks and bikes are available for those who feel energetic!

We are in a group of 6 houses spaced out around the area on the edge of the very small village of Trujillos. It is a friendly happy community. Everyone gets on with their own lives but equally neighbours are always happy to help if necessary.

There are great walks and drives in the area and further afield. Some people come out here to be active and take long walks and go biking; some prefer to read a book, sketch and paint; others prefer to go site seeing (there are many historical places of interest in Andalucia). There is plenty of choice according to the type of holiday you are looking for.

Nearby are villages and towns with bars, shops and banks. The town of Alcala La Real is approximately 15kms away with it's own historic castle; Alcala La Real has all the the facilities a large town can offer.

We are only 45 minutes away from Granada city which provides a great day out including visiting the world famous Alhambra palace

We are one hour and a half from Cordoba where there is the famous Mezquita to visit. We are just over the hour to the beach at Salobrena and an hour and a half to the Sierra Nevada skiing resort.

If you bring children we ask that they are supervised as this is an old property with uneven floors and outside there are areas with stone steps.

We have two small friendly dogs on the premises; no pets are allowed in the apartment. There is a strict no-smoking policy indoors, however we allow discreet smoking outdoors.

There is an additional small double bedroom available for an extra charge. There is also the sweet little cottage which we call The Corner House and which is also listed here on HouseTrip.

This is a great place for a couple to stay.. Alternatively it is available for family or friendly get-togethers as in total we can accommodate 10 people if both accommodations are rented and the sofa/day beds are used in the salonl/living room. A special price can be negotiated for large parties of people.
