The Luberon region
Goult is an ancient, fortified, hilltop village, overlooking the Lubereon and it’s many picturesque villages such as Gordes. It’s a busy little place with several boulangeries, cafes, restaurants and shops. There’s also a Childrens’ playground and tennis courts.
The winding roads of the Luberon, with spectacular views, are great to explore and you'll find loads of picturesque villages (Gordes, Menerbes, Maubec) on the doorstep and no doubt you'll want to stop and take some refreshments!
There's loads to do and see in the area; St Remy-de-Provence, famous for its Roman architecture, Les Baux with its ruined castle and unique rock formations, L'Isle sur la Sorgue, famous as an antique centre and market. Also within easy reach are Pont du Gard, Avignon with the Palace of the Popes, Marseille with its famous waterfront, the Amphitheatre at Nimes and the cultured avenues of Aix-en-Provence.
If activity is your thing, this area is perfect for climbing, cycling, mountain biking, trekking, golf, tennis and swimming.
There is a huge choice of local markets selling fresh breads, vegetables, cheese and herbs, all within a short drive. You could visit the bustling Farmers market in Coustellet or Cavaillon market, famous for melons!

Our second time and very much enjoyed again. Goult is lovely - the property is located about 400m from the village centre. The area is beautiful and there is much to do and see. Don't miss Buoux! Few restaurant places in Goult so booking is advisable. Excellent baker is closed on Mondays! Market on Thursdays. Wifi this year was an excellent addition. Pool is nice but a little cold in September. Only snag was the oven which can be tricky to use. Overall - Excellent place to stay.
