Cambrian House is a fabulous detached Victorian house situated within the southern coastal town of Gosport, Hampshire. This 4 bedroom house has been restored, refurbished and furnished to a good 4* star standard and is situated within a 5 minute drive of the beach and town centre where the ferry can take you for a short 4 minute ride to Portsmouth and the wonderful Gunwharf Quays, a superb waterfront complex with over 90 designer retail outlets, 30 odd cafés, restaurants, bistros and bars, Cinema, Bowling Alley, Casino, Jongleurs Comedy and Tiger Tiger nightclub plus the iconic Spinnaker Tower all set around the harbour quayside.
Each of the 4 lovely bedrooms have superior quality kingsize double beds which can separate to create 2 singles and are made up with crisp white cotton linen and fresh white towels for all guests. 2 of the bedrooms are 'family' rooms being able to sleep 3, 4 or 5 guests sleeping up to 12 in the bedrooms if required, plus some of the bedrooms can also accommodate children's cots on request.
The 2 high spec bathrooms both have quality fitted showers and the main bathroom is also fitted with a large roll top bath with all towelling provided.
The kitchen is fully equipped for self catering with a large vintage style Smeg fridge freezer and an original centre isle butchers block chopping table and is situated adjacent to the dining room which is home to a large 12 seater dining table. The lounge also seats up to 12 with a large flat screen TV, DVD and Nintendo Wii.
Off the kitchen is a comfortable sized breakfast room leading out into an impressive large conservatory with another table and 6 chairs, 2 x 2 seater leather sofas plus a 5ft pool/snooker/table tennis table to keep young and old alike amused, away from the separate front lounge.
Finally there are the gardens, the front laid with pea shingle and border shrubs and the rear being accessed from gated driveways either side and the French doors from the conservatory with tables, chairs, a lawned area, the facility to hire in a hot tub, (please contact us for availability and costings), trampoline etc.
Our prices are for up to 10 people but we can accommodate a 2 more people within the bedrooms on John Lewis bed chairs plus the lounge also has a John Lewis corner sofa bed with the additional guests over 10 being charged at a rate of £25 per week/part week per head or £25 for each extra set provided.

Cambrian House only accepts 'family groups' consisting of both adults and children during the school Summer Holidays and over New Year Period. However if you are an all adult group during the school Summer Holidays we can recommend one of our other properties - Peel House, which does not have the same restriction, (Listing ID: 616992).
If you would like to bring along a pet for your stay we do not charge an extra rental fee subject to an additional £250 pets deposit.
Adult only groups where 75% or more are under the age of 30 years of age are liable for an additional deposit equal to the rental deposit which is payable 6 weeks prior to arrival.

“Nice house & good location”
Cambrian House is a nice, clean house with everything you need for a agreeable time. The location is perfect for day trips to the surrounding attractions. The host is very friendly and helpful and communication was easy.

Beautifully presented house, with lots of space. We really liked the period features and the way the house was presented for our visit. Would I use again , definitely.
House was lovely with lots of room for all of us to be both together and apart. We didnt realise that we would have to pay for the hot tub until later and it was more than expected but the teenagers loved it. We had excellent weather and the walk to the beach was easy enough. The dining table was set up for use and we did use it once with all the family around but generally we ate in the garden or a restaurant. The communication was great too and we we were met promptly and given the tour. The beds are very soft....not my taste by my kids thought they were great. The bedrooms were very big even the smallest. so lots of room. Nicely styled house in keeping with its period. If I had to be picky then we only had one small complaint and that was the bottom of the garden was not really safe enough to let the dog out as there was a little mess there including building materials; the temporary fencing was not good enough and, to be honest, it didnt look nice.
Owner's reply: We are sorry about the rear section of the garden but unfortunately our neighbours lost a tree and it took out part of our rear fence, hence the temporary Herras fencing and the building materials behind it. This area has now been tidied up.
