The Dairy House is a superb sprawling detached Victorian house situated a minute from the foreshore of Portsmouth Harbour with views over the water from the large lounge and 2 of the 7 bedrooms. Set in the southern coastal town of Gosport, Hampshire with 3 nearby beaches, the house is only 1 minute from the foreshore of Portsmouth Harbour and is a 4 minute ferry ride to Portsmouth and Gunwharf Quays which has over 90 designer retail outlets, 30 restaurants/cafes/bars, a cinema, bowling alley, comedy club, casino, nightclub and The Spinnaker Tower, the UK's 2nd tallest publicly accessible building.
Each of the 7 bedrooms have superior quality kingsize double beds which can separate to create 2 singles and are made up with crisp white cotton linen and fresh white towels for each guest. 2 of the bedrooms are 'family rooms' which can sleep a 3rd and 4th person plus the 3 large sofas within the lounge convert to make extra beds for extra guests if required. For guests with limited mobility there is the choice of 2 bedrooms and a shower room on the ground floor.
The 5 high spec bathrooms all have quality fitted showers and the main 1st floor bathroom is also fitted with a sumptuous corner bath (complete with giant duck)!
The kitchen comes fitted with all essential mod cons, a large range style gas cooker, washing machine, dishwasher, an American style fridge freezer, etc and there is even a second fridge freezer if required.
The adjacent dining room is home to a splendid large oak 16 seater dining table with 16 matching leather high backed dining chairs plus a smaller overspill table and 4 chairs to allow dining for 20.
The lounge also seats up to 20 with binoculars in front of the large picture window to view the goings on in the Harbour and across to Portsdown Hill beyond.
In addition the property boasts a super fun games room with a pool/snooker table, table tennis table, a 50" TV & Wii plus plenty of games to keep young and old amused.
Finally there is the conservatory off the dining and games room where it is lovely to escape with your morning tea and toast and enjoy the first of the morning sun.
The Dairy House only accepts 'family groups' consisting of both adults and children during April - September and over New Year Period. However if you are an all adult group during April - September we can recommend our other properties - Stoke Villas (Listing ID: 288109) or The Gallery (Listing ID: 77831) which do not have the same level of constraints.
Our prices advertised are for up to 16 people but we can accommodate 2/4 more people within the bedrooms on John Lewis bed chairs or futon style bed cubes and we have 3 double bed settees within the lounge with the additional guests over 16 being charged at a rate of £25 per week/part week per head or we charge £25 per set of extra linen requested.
All linen and towels are provided and are changed weekly with a mid week maid service available on request. Child cots, highchairs and stairgates are also available at no extra cost. (Guests are requested to bring their own child's bedding please)

“Lovely spacious beautiful.”
14 of us stayed there. It was clean and spacious. Lovely walks to the pub or sea front. The only complaint is the road and parking the driveway has room for 3 to 4 cars. Lovely layout and beautiful views.
Owner's reply: Thank you for your feedback and you can comfortably fit 3-4 cars on the front drive, plus the road has unlimited and un-metered parking with a free car park just around the corner for up to seven days
Four families stayed at the house together. Lovely rooms, comfortable bed and fantastic dining room. Great stay.
“Fantastic 70th Birthday Party”
The property was wonderful, very well equipped with everything you could think of and the welcome pack of goodies was very thoughtful. Nice area with good views, especially from the lounge. Had Angela from The Recipe House in to cook Sunday lunch, this was very well received from all members of our group. They were so helpful and left everything looking as if they had never been in the kitchen! Have not received such helpful staff etc for a long time, will highly recommend Complete Holiday Homes to my friends. The Smith Party - April 2016.
“Ideal venue for a large, mature group”
The accommodation was of a very high standard, at least as good as described. All of our party appreciated the facilities and a good night's sleep. I consider your procedures to have been universally excellent, from booking through to confirmation and arrival. Jo talked us through everything at the property and what to do on leaving, all very straightforward and professional. I am sure that we will look to you for future venues for our get-togethers.

“Wonderful property and extremely helpful company/owner”
We had a fabulous weekend at The Dairy House. The property is spacious and beautifully decorated. Our children are 2 and 5 and loved the games room. We walked to the Gosport ferry (a 45 minute walk with dawdling children!) and went over to the Naval Dockyard and Gunwharf Quays - loads to do and see. There was a difficulty with the original booking and Complete Holiday Homes could not have been more helpful in resolving it for us. Would thoroughly recommend this company and property.
“Fantastic Family Accommodation”
The property was excellent. We spent the majority of our time at the property with the family who thoroughly enjoyed the facilities, in particular the games room provided, which kept everyone from 4 - 65 years of age entertained. The professional and friendly service of the staff has excelled all our other stays in self catering accommodation. “Absolutely Outstanding Property & Service - what more could you possibly want?!”
I'd like to thank you and the team for making the rental process easy and secure. You guys have been great at handling our booking and kept us up to date at all times. The house itself was incredible! It's surprisingly huge, spotlessly clean and was equipped with absolutely anything you would need if it was your own home. It was spacious enough for 16 people to live, eat and sleep comfortably. The location of the house was good, we were close enough to Portsmouth to visit a city if you want night-life and far away enough for you to feel as if you're on a relaxing break. The house came with a helpful guide book including instructions on how to use certain equipment, taxi numbers and emergency numbers. Laura who met us at the house was lovely and amazingly helpful. She was so knowledgeable on the house and surroundings and gave clear and concise instructions on what to do when leaving the house. I'd recommend this property and your service to anyone - we are already looking for the next opportunity for us to rent it again! I can't praise you all enough. Thank you ever so much!!
The Dairy House is excellent for a large group of friends who are looking to have a fun time, with not only a games room but nearby Portsmouth only a short taxi and ferry ride away. Communication was very efficient throughout, we were greeted by friendly staff and the deposit was returned quickly.
“Well equipped house in great location, would recommend!”
An excellent weekend was had by all staying at the property. We found the house to be well equipped and in perfect condition upon arrival. The heating is very efficient, almost too efficient and we had to turn it down and the beds were very comfortable. The tardis style fridge/freezer can hold more than it appears and also the double gas hob/oven was great. The house is situated in a good quiet location and the internet was coming in at approx. 20 meg which was more than adequate. We found that the whole booking process ran very smoothly, the staff at Complete Holiday Homes were attentive and levels of communication were perfect throughout the whole process. - Gareth Jones, October 2015
