Description from owner

Description

Weeping Willow cottage is a superb hideaway, the perfect place for a tranquil holiday in a beautiful part of France. There is feeling of being in deepest, rural France and yet it is an easy drive of under two hours to the Channel ports from here and there are two easily accessible local airports. It is only a five minute drive to Gorron the friendly local town and just two minutes by car to our lovely local village with its equally lovely local bar and restaurant.

The cottage is old and quirky with a south facing terrace and large grounds including a half acre lake full of carp plus a little island where my ducks live.

There is also a field with swings and an above ground splash pool. There is a large open sided barn with table tennis and darts an orchard and seven acres of rough land and woods to wander in.

The cottage itself is homely and comfortably furnished with a bright airy kitchen, new family bathroom, warm comfy living dining room with a wood burning stove

Truly a place for family fun or adult peace and relaxation. Children of all ages love staying here. They love the little rowing boat and having loads of room to run about in safety. They also love my friendly animals, my two dogs, three cats and twelve ducks! Many guests come here for the fishing. The cottage and its grounds also provides great opportunities for photography, birdwatching, sketching, cooking (the kitchen is very well equipped) and barbecues. This is also a great base for cycling, walking and sightseeing with a huge array of superb places to visit.

I live on site and am generally on hand to advise on visits, shopping and restaurants as well as providing information on the many local events, music, sport and festivals that happen throughout the year.

This is a magical place! Recharge your batteries, relax, have fun and sleep like a baby!
