Description

Elm Cottage is located within the grounds of the owners 16th Century thatched cottage which is situated in the hamlet of Strettington, on the edge of the Goodwood estate. The property sleeps 2 people and has its own private patio and garden with BBQ. Freeview TV, internet access and wifi are available.

Originally part of the outbuildings of the main house, Elm Cottage is a delightful flint and brick cottage which has been tastefully converted to form a spacious studio style accommodation. Comprising of separate kitchen and dining room with cooker, microwave, toaster, coffee machine, washing machine, fridge-freezer and dining table with seating for 3. The shower room has a double sized shower, towels are provided. The combined bed / sitting room has a feature fireplace and houses a double bed, small wardrobe, leather sofa, freeview tv/dvd and ipod docking station. There is a large selection of recent dvds available to watch. Patio doors lead out to your own pretty patio and private cottage garden with a chimnea, bbq and garden furniture. A picnic hamper and rug are also provided for your trips to either the beach or the wonderful surrounding countryside.

Goodwood House is within walking distance as is the Goodwood Hotel which offers a picturesque Pay and Play golf course plus a Health Club with swimming pool, gym, beauty spa, tennis courts and restaurants which are open to non-residents. Guest membership is available at a cost of £20 per person per week.

“A little peace of Heaven!”

Elm Cottage is just beautiful! The owners provide thoughtful, personal touches, which make it unique, including a lovely welcome hamper....even treats for the dogs! We spent wet & windy days, on West Wittering beach, 15 -20 minutes drive, the boys loved it & were exhausted, which meant we could enjoy lazy evenings in front of the log burner, watching a great selection of DVD's, provided...we all slept like logs, in the extremely comfortable bed. Elm cottage was everything we'd hoped for & more, so much so we'd love to return...hopefully with better weather (to avoid such "muddy paws")

This cottage was extremely clean, well equipped and satisfactory for two people. The kitchen was equiped well, bathroom and shower were great. Comfortable bed and great outlook with visiting chickens. Jasper and Carol were very friendly and welcoming. We would certainly stay here again.

Stayed over the Goodwood festival of speed weekend. The cottage is within an easy stroll of the main gate past the hotel which means no need to battle with the traffic. We had a fantastic warm welcome from all the family, and a cheeky visit or 2 from a lovely 4 legged friend which you wont have the pleasure of as the hole in the fence was discovered! ;( The welcome pack had everything and a bit more to help with the stay. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners and all the questions we had before we arrived were answered and dealt with. Ideal for 2 adults with a fabulous cottage garden at the back, personally we would of preferred a dishwasher over the washing machine. This said we would not hesitate to stay again or recommend even the "mother" staying there. Fab deserves to do well.
