Direct access to Goodrington Sands beach and the picturesque Young's Park from the apartment and your private parking area. Forty five seconds walk from property. Goodrington Sands offers a variety of watersports, boat hire, deckchair hire and a pub with gardens overlooking the beach (food served all day), it also offers a separate grill in the gardens in the summer. This is also where you will find Quaywest Waterpark, Go Karts and Quad bikes. The cafés and restaurants of Goodrington Sands beach plus all the sports and leisure amenities of Goodrington are right on your doorstep and with Paignton beach, pier , harbour and town centre all within easy reach. Within a ten minute drive is the beautiful, historic estuary town of Dartmouth and in the other direction the popular seaside resort of Torquay with a wide range of shops, restaurants and bars.

In addition to the exceptional Goodrington Sands beach, in the other direction, two minute walk, are the elegant Roundham Gardens with stunning views across to Torquay. There is also the Paignton to Dartmouth steam railway running along the coast which can be boarded at Goodrington station for the journey to Dartmouth (Kingswear) . The local coastal path enables fantastic walks around the bay either to Torquay in one direction or Brixham & Berryhead in the other.

The town centre of Paignton is ten to fifteen minute walk - It's an attractive resort with long sandy beaches and pier. Amongst it's other star attractions are the zoo, multiplex cinema, crazy golf on Paignton Green and in the summer months there are many fairs and festivals. Numerous cafes, pubs and restaurants (some with live entertainment) and with the majority catering for children.

Take the opportunity to see everything from the water: from Paignton Harbour (a 5 - 10 minute walk) you can take a boat trip to nearby Torquay, Brixham or Dartmouth.

Torquay has a distinctly continental flavour with its pavement cafes and palm lined seafront. It has something to offer everyone including harbourside shopping parades, excellent theatres, beautiful gardens and a 'London Eye' style wheel. Brixham is a picturesque fishing town with bustling harbour, Breakwater beach and outdoor swimming pool. There is a replica of Sir Francis Drake's Golden Hind ship and there are pirate days for the children every Thursday in the summer.

The beautiful estuary town of Dartmouth is less than 15 minutes by car (river ferry crossing!) with its stunningly picturesque embankment historic quayside, atmospheric inns, restaurants and quaint shops. And with the award winning Blackpool Sands beach only a short drive from Dartmouth.
