Before going any further with falling in love with my amazing apartment in the very center of everything, I would like you to consider the following. These are the 5 things that previous Guests have loved the most about my apartment – if this is all you, then go ahead and read on. 1. The apartment is 100% clean in every corner2. That there are both regular towels and beach towels included in the priceThese are the 3 things that previous Guest have dislikes the most about my apartment – if you feel the same, then my apartment is not the right place for you to stay. We'll just end up getting miserable all together!1. That there is 24 marble stairs from street level to the front door. No elevator. 2. That the bars and tapas restaurants in the area are open till 01.00am minimum 3 days a week. 3. That there will be street noise due to the central location. Terrace This apartment have a newly renovated terrace with partly glass flooring where it is possible to sit and enjoy breakfast, as the morning sun turns the corner and shine on the terrace most of the day.In order to keep this little terrace in the middle of one of the oldest town on the Costa del Sol coastline cozy, I have planted some tough flowers who love direct sun in handmade and hand-painted Spanish clay pots. Please help me and use 4 minutes every day watering the outside flowers so they will stay fresh and green! The terrace has a shady awning, which comes in handy once the sun starts to get really warm during mid-day. In January 2014 we got some new wooden teak lounge furniture's for the terrace, so it is now possible to take a nap or wedge out with a glass of sangria all evening long.There is also an ashtray on the terrace, as this is the only place where you might smoke. Please remember to close the door to the apartment, as I'm a non-smoker and I would like the apartment to stay a non-smoking apartment. But on the terrace, you can smoke anything as much as you like – just remember to use the ashtray! Welcome When entering the apartment you walk into the combined living and dining room, where you'll find 2 comfy couches for you to relax in, after a long days walk around town or a hot day on the beach, that is located just 7 min. walk from the apartment - or 19 minutes if you walk with a 3 year old in your hand, who spots the horses and carriage that takes tourists around town...!There is also a dining table with chairs for 4 people, hangers for your coat (in case you feel like needing one!) and parking space for your outdoor shoes. So please, do not walk with outside shoes in the apartment.From the living-dining room, there is access to the terrace, through a big glass door. Kitchen There is also access to the box-like kitchen, which contains everything you need to cook a proper dinner or just preparing a sandwich. There is a hot air oven, ceramic hobs, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, Senseo Coffee machine and a concealed fridge freezer. It is all brand new! - you may use whatever you find in the cupboards, as it is there for the very same reason. Just take some, and if you like, leave some for the next Guests. Rooms From the living-dining room, there is access to the hallway where the 3 bedrooms are. All 3 rooms face windows towards the narrow alley below. On your right hand is the master bedroom, with one semi-hard mattress, two summer duvets and pillows. The duvets and the pillows are all washed after each booking period, so you can be sure it is all 100% clean. The bed sheets are from the Danish Designer Susanne Schjerning who makes Scandinavian quality linen - to keep the quality high I ironed all bed sheets so they are really crispy and nice to crawl into, after a long day in this amazing city!There is also a closet for your cloth and 2 bamboo nightstands with an alarm clock and bedside lamps. Down the hallway you find the next bedroom on your right hand. I call it the Butterfly Room. Here you'll got a white dresser and a 140x200 bed which also have semi-hard mattresses, two summer duvets and pillows - and of course newly ironed crispy bed sheets! There are also a bamboo nightstand and plenty of electric sockets for you to charge your phone, camera etc. Next room on your right hand is the last bedroom in the apartment. In here you'll also find a brand new 140x200 bed with semi-hard mattress - also with crispy newly ironed bed sheets, nightstands, lights, flowers and plenty of electric sockets.In the wintertime all duvets are switched with winter duvets, to ensure that you still get a good nights sleep.Depending on how many people you are, I'll lock the other rooms that you are not using/renting.If you are just 2 people, you'll get access to one bedroom and two bathrooms. If you are 4 people, you'll get access to two bedrooms and two bathrooms, if you are more than 4 people you'll get access to the entire apartment.If you wish to have access to more rooms than written here, please let me know before arrival. Bathrooms Across from the last bedroom you'll find the 2 bathrooms in the apartment - we still wonder why anyone would use space for two identical bathrooms in an apartment but it's quite common in Spain.However, when having guests it's kind of nice with 2 bathrooms!Both bathrooms have environmentally friendly water saving toilets, a separate shower with Eco water saver function and a sink with a small cabin below where you'll find extra toilet paper and towels. There's also a window in both bathrooms, which allows great light and ventilation to come in. WiFi, TV & Other small things My apartment is all 100% newly decorated and I, as all homeowners looove my home, so please do take good care of it! However due to the love of my home, I have provided it with everything possible necessary for a joyful stay, like the killer fastest WiFi possible to get in the area around the Old City! And it is of course free and included in the rental price. All bedroom windows have outside blinds to pull down, in case you like to sleep in the dark - every morning you can hear the locals pull up the blinds to let the sun in and you know a new day has started!My apartment have Fans but no Air Condition, most apartment in the old town of Marbella don't have that, as the streets are so narrow that you can touch the houses if you spread out your arms walking down the street. Because of the narrow streets there are no room for the Air Con machine on the outside of the building and who want's a noisy dripping thing like that inside? However there are fans in each room, to cool it down in the summer and there are electric radiators in each room for heating in the wintertime.There are also new double-glassed windows through out the entire apartment from April 2013. My TV is only connected to a DVD player and there are some DVD's in the sideboard under the TV.However, it is possible to watch TV via the internet - but you would have to be a bit technical to get it started, as there are no TV Antenna on the building. So if you are not a TV Zapper you might have a bit of difficulties getting it started. There is however a manual in the drawer under the TV, showing you how to use it - but there are no guarantee from my side that it will work. Please be aware of that. The Orange Square My apartment is located right on the Orange Square in the old town of Marbella and the building has front towards the old City Hall, Orange trees, Fountains and the innumerable amount of restaurants, bars and take-away places in all price categories.Due to the central location of the apartment, and the fact that you are in Andalusia, home to the most warm-blooded Spanish people, there will be city noise.The streets are very very narrow, and covered with cobblestones, seashells and pebbles from the Mediterranean Sea. When people walk and talk, the tapas bars have live Flamenco dance and the old men starts to sing after a little to much sun and quite a few cana's, you can only expect to feel and hear the heartbeat of the city, as the sound goes up along the buildings. If you are a light sleeper or demand 100% silence on your holiday, I would not choose this apartment or any other apartment in Marbella, as this is a city that never sleeps, especially during the summertime. Shopping & Grocery If you like to cook yourself, there is a Mercadona and a SuperSol Supermarket within walking distance of the apartment. They are normally open between 10.00 am and 20.00 pm on weekdays. If you want a bit more high-end grocery, you should go to La Canada, which is a huge shopping mall with more than 180 shops and a rather big Supermarket (Alcampo) La Canada is located a 5-7€ taxi ride away from the apartment. There is also an Open Core around 5 min. walk from the apartment. Open Core has a limited selection of groceries but are open 24 hours, 365 days a year, so it is a good place to start out, if you arrive late at night. Please notice that we have a extra fee at 25€ for checking in after 20.00 (8 pm) in the evening and for checking out after 11.00 (11 am) in the morning
