What makes Old House so special for your holiday, is that you are not only restricted to your own garden but can enjoy the rest of the 12.5 acre grounds.
The rural setting and woods are the perfect place for kids to be kids. They can build dens, play in the small stream and have their own Cornish adventure. Yet we are only a stones throw away from the coast, Fowey Harbour, shops and the restaurants of Fowey.
For those who are somewhat quieter you may be fortunate enough to see wild dear and badger or watch Kestrels hover lazily above.
For dog owners it is paradise. We have cleared pathways and interesting walks through the woods and around the large field so your dog can have all the exercise it needs without leaving the grounds. Your country home, away from home.

The Cornwall region
Cornwall is packed full of things to do on beautiful sunny summer days, rainy summer days, Crisp chilly Autumn days, Frosty winters days, and bright and breezy Spring days.
There are things for Dads, Mums, Grans, Granddads, Boys Girls and Pets.
And the good thing about Old House is that it is well placed to explore, beaches, walks, fishing villages, pretty villages, fine pubs and restaurants serving good local produce, beautiful houses and gardens to explore, great theme parks, golf courses and lots and lots of other attractions.
• Lanhydrock House • Eden Project • Bodmin Moor • Bodmin & Wenford Railway • Charlestown shipwreck museum • Jamaica Inn • South West Coastal Footpath • Tinagel • Shires Family Adventure Park • Dairyland • Surfing and other water sports at Watergate Bay • Padstow • Prideaux Place • Lost Gardens Of Heligan • Newquay Zoo • Lappa Valley Steam Railway • Blue Reef Aquarium • Newquay Water World
If you like sailing, shopping, eating, drinking, fishing, crabbing, walking, medieval and Tudor cottages, narrow steep winding streets then you will love Fowey. When you come down the hill into Fowey and see the first glimpse of the church tower, the turret that belongs to a 15th century fortified manor house and then of course that beautiful river, it is just like stepping back in time.
The town also has strong connections to Dame Daphne Du Maurier who spent most of her life in the area. A festival that celebrates her life and work is held each May.
Fowey Regatta week in August is a must as you can take part in the family events on the river, like raft building and sailing.
The Fowey Estuary has to be one of the most attractive and unspoilt parts of the South coast.
The peaceful Fowey River is surrounded by many miles of National Trust countryside, with many walks around the Estuary and its quiet water, green woodlands and masses of wildlife, which can be enjoyed all year round.

"Paradise- a stunning home in a stunning location"
The house itself is stunning, with a very stylish yet very homely interior with everything you could possibly need for a perfect holiday. The surrounding garden and woods are amazing - so peaceful yet so full of adventure for children and dogs. We felt totally relaxed and yet it is only a five minute drive from beautiful beaches and the vibrant harbour town of Fowey. The owners are extremely helpful and welcoming and we cannot recommend this property enough and will certainly return for another wonderful holiday.

"Cottage and surroundings beautiful would highly recommend"
I would highly recommend staying at Old House the cottage was decorated to a high standard, when booking I thought the website was too good to be true but upon arrival I was not disappointed with the Cottage or the surroundings. Trevor and Suzanne made us very welcome and Suzanne also even took the time to take one of the younger members of our party to make an Easter Tree. If you like walking take a cab or drive to Menabilly Barton Farm and do the walk into Fowey along the cliffs or to Polkerris. At Polkerris would recommend eating at Sams or The Rashleigh Inn. We also took a trip by train from Par to St Ives (only £9.60 return takes just over an hour) the trains takes you along the coast views are amazing.
