WHERE IS LOCATED?
The apartment is located in the upscale and luxurious Glyfada suburb, north of Athens, at nice, green and safe neighborhood area close to the Athens metro station "Helliniko", five minutes from a blue flag beach and the main Glyfada shopping center, and less than 20 min by car from Athens city center where you can visit the Acropolis, the archaeological museum and traditional taverns.
In just two to three minutes walking distance you will find a variety of supermarkets, a traditional Bakery, Souvlaki and pizza restaurants, bus-stops going to Glyfada and Athens, pharmacies, hair/nail beauty shops and a variety of stores.
PARKING:
If you rent a car, the neighborhood is safe with free parking outside, however we also provide Private Garage with remote controlled door at an extra cost.

Alice is a wine chemist and is involved in the production of wine from start to finish. She can organise a private wine tasting for you, upon request, as well as take you to various vineyards in Attica for sightseeing and participate in wine making. Dying to try a traditional moussaka, or something Greek? We can organise, upon request, to cook for you a traditional meal/dinner. Just ask!
ACCESS TO THE APARTMENT
Access is easy via the main entrance door (one step) or the Private Garage (step-free access). There is a hydraulic 6-person elevator in the building as well as stairs. Feel free to walk in the garden and upon request we can organise a dining experience under the trees with traditional homemade Greek food with fresh produce from our farm!
INTERACTION WITH YOU
If you arrive within normal hours (that is, until midnight) we will show you the apartment and explain you the Apartment's Home Manual, provide you access to the Wi-Fi, and give you a prepaid SIM card or a mobile (cell) phone to use.
In case you arrive in the very early hours, you will have a key code to unlock a box with your keys.
We offer recommendations of nearby shops, cafes, hairdressers/nail/spa and restaurants, and you will be given a map of the area as well as sight seeing information.
Upon request we can organise sightseeing with a local tour guide or transport.
You will have access to the entire apartment, the garden and the garage.
The house is for your own private use.
The Neighbourhood
The neighborhood is urban, with other apartment buildings with small gardens and local shops just two to three minutes away. It is perfectly safe to walk during late hours. The people are very friendly and open, and local store owners are always happy to help. Most speak English as this neighbourhood used to serve the American soldiers based in the now defunct American military base.
Getting Around
GETTING AROUND GLYFADA:
Glyfada is an upscale, luxurious and posh Athens suburb, located North of the center of Athens. It has a fantastic shopping center with hundreds of shops, including open air cinema, coffee shops (Starbucks and Paul Bakery), bars and restaurants (including McDonalds, KFC and Subway) with just 2 minutes walking from the beach!
If you visit us during summer time, you can enjoy swimming in the crystal blue Mediterranean waters of the Glyfada, Voula & Vouliagmeni coastline. Summer in Greece and hot weather in general, lasts up to late October.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT & DISTANCES:
GETTING FROM/ GOING TO THE AIRPORT
If you have no car, we can arrange transportation for you at a very reasonable price, or alternatively book a taxi or get the X96 Express bus.
The estimated time to get or come between Glyfada from/to Athens International Airport "Eleftherios Venizelos" is 35 km or around 40 minutes away by car. If you hire a taxi, it will cost you €40 during the daylight time and it and doubles from midnight to 6:00 am. Public transportation to and from the airport is available by express airport bus connections on a 24 hour basis and ticket costs 5 euro.
Bus Line X96 Piraeus - Airport Express starts from the center of Piraeus port (Karaiskaki Square) and goes via Possidonos Avenue, Varis-Varkizas avenue, and Varis-Koropiou avenue. To get to the bus, you will need to go to Glyfada center and wait at the Flisvos Bus Stop (full map will be provided). The ticket for Express Line X96 costs € 5 and is valid for 24 hours on all public transport means (buses, trolley-buses and metro).

VISITING ATHENS CENTER AND ACROPOLIS?
There is a Bus stop just around the corner, in front of a small square at Gounari Street where it takes 15-20 minutes by bus to go to the Athens center, to visit the Acropolis, the old city of Plaka, taverns, shops and museums. If you prefer to go by taxi it will cost you around 12 euros and your trip will last 20-30 minutes.
GOING TO PIRAEUS PORT TO LEAVE TO THE ISLANDS
Piraeus port can be reached by car, taxi, bus or tram (although it is very slow) from Glyfada and takes around 20 minutes.
