AMBER COTTAGE at Crickley Court.
Crickley Court was at one time a Coaching Inn called “The Crown” and thought to be at least three hundred years old.
The inn's stables were for the extra horses required to help pull the coaches up Crickley Hill. Our two holiday cottages at Crickley Court were converted from the Old Stable Block. They are very well equipped and both have been awarded the 'Visit Britain' 4 Stars rating.
Amber Cottage can accommodate 4 people. The main bedroom has a super king size bed and the second bedroom has 2 twin beds.
The bathroom has a bath, separate shower and a wall fitted hair-dryer and we provide towels, liquid soaps and shampoos – all to help ease those aching joints after a hard days sightseeing!
Bedrooms and bathroom are downstairs; open plan living areas are upstairs – an Access Statement is on our website.
Amber cottage is fully equipped with washing machine/dryer; dishwasher; electric oven and hob; microwave; fridge and freezer – as well as books, games and TV with DVD for a relaxing stay! Bed linen, towels & electricity are included within the price. Cot, high-chair and stair gates are available if required.
The cottage has storage heaters while there is also a wood-burning stove for those cooler autumn or winter evenings.
It has it\'s own garden with garden furniture and washing line. There is plenty of off-road parking.
Wi-Fi is available.
Crickley Court garden covers two acres and guests are welcome to wander around.
Situated in the village of Witcombe, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty but close to major road links, Crickley Court Cottages are an ideal base for touring the many attractive towns and villages in the Cotswolds. We are close to both the Cotswold Way and the less frequently walked Gloucester Way and within easy reach of Crickley Hill Country Park, with its fantastic views over the Severn Valley, Gloucester and the Malvern Hills.
We are also only 15 minutes by road to both Gloucester, with its cathedral, docks and museums, and also to Cheltenham, with its famous racecourse, shopping arcades, Holst Birthplace museum, and theatre, jazz, cricket, literature and other festivals.
Being within the Cotswolds there are plenty of attractions for guests to visit, including Painswick Rococo Gardens, Sudeley Castle, Bourton on the Water, Hidcote Manor Gardens, the Slaughters, Cotswold Wildlife Park, Slimbridge Wildfowl Trust, Forest of Dean. and many more, while the delights of Gloucester, Cheltenham, Tewkesbury and Cirencester are all nearby. Fishing lakes and golf courses are easily accessible.
Short breaks of 3 nights minimum are available.
We look forward to welcoming you to Crickley Court!

we stayed here for 3 nights 4 days 2 adults and 2 kids adorable cottage. It had everything that was needed home from home , although we were out and about alot it was nice to know we were coming home to a cozy cottage in a peaceful setting. On arrival John was promplty there to welcome us and show us around asking us if we needed anything etc just to give him a call. He filled the basket with logs for the burner although we didnt use this as didnt spend enough time. This cottage is perfect for a peaceful holiday and a great place to relax.. visit Bourton-on-the-water lovely wee place.. all surrounding pubs food delicious.. Loved Johns map very useful .. Thanks for everything !!!

"Cosy home from home"
The cottage is perfect and completely self contained amidst beautiful surroundings. We went for only 3 nights but very much wished it could have been for longer. It was the middle of winter but very cosy with the wood burner. John and his wife were exceptionally accommodating, helping us and being very welcoming at every turn. We were a very new family at the time, with a 3 week old baby and the flat was ideal for what we needed. We had plenty of privacy but help if we needed it. There are plenty of ameniities close by, including a big Tesco should you need to stock up on provisions. I highly recommend this lovely little cottage.

"Absolutely lovely cottage with beautfiul views and very friendly owners."
Five of us had an absolutely fantastic bank holiday weekend stay at Amber cottage. Even before we'd arrived Geoff was very responsive and warm over email regarding the changeable number of our party. On arrival we were given a very warm welcome and it was made very clear to us that we could just knock on their door if we needed anything but at the same time we were left to enjoy ourselves and the cottage. The upstairs open plan is a lovely space to hang out socially and we loved looking out of the windows towards Gloucester. We were also laughing at the fact that everything about the cottage is to a much higher standard than our own homes! Geoff also offered us the opportunity to swim in the pool in their garden, which was a real treat too. I strongly recommend this lovely lovely place. Thanks very much Geoff and Lis!
Really pleased you enjoyed your stay and thanks for the compliments - much appreciated! We do try our best to ensure guests have a great stay in our cottages.
