Description

Anatoli Villa is a beautifully designed and constructed house in a serene and lovely location which has truly breathtaking views across the Aegean to the neighbouring islands. If you can tear yourself away from the infinity pool there are 4 unspoiled beaches situated just below the house, about 25 minutes walk through pine woods or a 5 minute drive, and the local town of Glossa is just 15 minutes away with its tavernas shops and cafes. Glossa also has a port which connects to the neighbouring island of Skiathos in just 15 minutes to access the airport there.

The house was built and furnished as a home not a rental property and the difference shows. It is spacious(148sq meters) light and airy with everything you could need inside.Outside there are beautiful gardens and courtyards made of dry stone walling to enjoy and provide shade. The Church featured in Mamma Mia is just 2 miles down the coast.

Further details

Nearest airport is Skiathos which is 15 minutes by boat

Location description from owner

The Sporades region

Skopelos is known as the island of green and blue in greece because the huge pine forests that cover much of the island stretch down to the crystal clear blue waters. They filmed "Mama Mia here because of the natural beauty of this largely unspoilt island and of all the islands of Greece they chose this one .
The island was divided into 2 by its central mountain range until the mid 1960's when the road was built and still it feels like 2 islands. Skopleos Town in the south is beautiful and has all the main facilities of a capital town but for we Glossa residents the north of the island is unparalleled in it beauty and peaceful nature . Glossa town (big village really) has a spectacular position overlooking the western approaches from Skiathos island and has all the tavernas shops etc it needs while remaining traditional with warm and friendly people who enjoy an unhurried way of life..
Anatoli Villa is just behind Gloss village about 2 miles (in a straight line) about 1/2 walk or 10 minutes drive. Its set in beautiful countryside, rural but not too remote and a short drive/walk to the beaches down a track through the pinewoods. its about 20 minutes to walk down but the walk back is a little longer depending how fit your are!

Glossa

The beaches below the house are lovely and unspoiled and just 2 miles away is the famous church on the rock from the Mama Mia film. There is a nice beach next to it too. Nowhere on the island is more than 40 minutes away so there are hundreds of kilometres of forest tracks in the hills and beaches and coves everywhere. There are lovely walks all around our villa and birdwatchers will love it. The sea in front of us is a marine park and monk seals breed there and we often see dolphins feeding.
Some friends have just started sea kayaking expeditions and there are boats that tour the nearby islands including a glass bottomed one. Also it is a paradise for mountain bikeing.
There are many churches, monasteries and archaeological sites to visit too.

“Exceptional place”

Reviewed 4 Jul 2016

We are Skopelos veterans and this is, by far, the best villa we've stayed in. Anatoli looks great in the pics, but they don't do it justice. It's beautifully designed and furnished, with terrific attention to detail and the best of everything (White Company linen, Global knives etc). The garden, which you don't really see in the pics, is beautifully landscaped and terraced, with a winding path leading down through huge lavender and rosemary bushes to the infinity pool. Martin, the owner, was very helpful and generously insisted that we helped ourselves to all things growing in the garden - the cucumbers were delicious! We'd recommend it to anyone.

Owner's reply: Thanks Chris we are glad you liked it so much.it is a beautiful location too!.cheers martin
