Bedroom 1 (The Barnwood Room): Queen Bed | Bedroom 2 (The Alpine Room): Queen Bed | Additional Sleeping: Couch (Not a Pullout), Queen Air Mattress

Welcome to your home-away-from-home boasting 1,250 square feet of rustic living space, a large front porch with rocking chairs, a spacious deck with a gas grill, an outdoor fire pit, and more - all surrounded by a lush forest of trees and breathtaking mountains.

During your time here, relax and unwind snuggling by the fireplace or rocking on the porch feeling the cool mountain breeze with the sounds of Taylor Creek echoing in the distance.

You’re sure to love sitting on the elevated porch of this mostly secluded mountain cabin in the woods. Not only does the property give you a true mountain feel, but it is also an authentic dovetail chink-groove built log cabin with today’s luxuries including Smart TVs, gas logs, wireless internet, and a cell phone booster antenna.

Step inside - where all the furnishings, appliances, and accessories are new and make yourself at home. After a day of hiking or shopping, look forward to relaxing in the welcoming living room on the plush leather furniture while you watch TV and warm up next to the fireplace.

Easily move about the open-concept interior to the fully equipped kitchen to whip up a tasty snack and grab a refreshing beverage out of the fridge. The stainless steel appliances and ample counter space make meal prep a breeze. Stop in Cashiers to pick up fresh ingredients from the Farmers Market to use in your home-cooked meals.

Add a little fire to your meal with the gas grill on the deck for cooking a savory steak. Enjoy the evening relaxing in a rocking chair on the porch as the sun goes down behind Black Rock Mountain. After dinner, walk down to the outdoor fire pit and tell stories while you gaze at the stars.

For optimal relaxation, draw yourself a hot bubble bath in the jacuzzi tub to unwind before crawling under the covers of one of the 2 queen beds. The living room couch and an air mattress provide additional sleeping space should you need it.

Rent a boat or go kayaking about 8 miles away at pristine Lake Glenville and spend the day on the water. There is a small beach at Lake Glenville where you can relax and enjoy the serenity of the beautiful mountains and trees that surround the area.

Visit the quaint mountain village of Cashiers and explore numerous apparel boutiques, antique and home furnishing shops. Take a stroll through the Village Green, a 12-acre park with outdoor sculptures, walking paths, and beautiful gardens. Enjoy summer entertainment at the popular “Groovin’ on the Green” concerts each Friday. Dine at spectacular restaurants, such as The Orchard, Cornucopia, Randevu, Whiteside Brewing Co., the Ugly Dog, or Mica’s in neighboring Sapphire. Afterward, treat yourself to a dessert at Sugar Cloud or Cream & Flutter.

For the historian enthusiast, visit the Church of the Good Shepherd in Cashiers built in 1892 and is on the National Register of Historic Buildings. Then go back to the time of the Cherokee and venture to see Judacull Rock, petroglyphs created by Cherokee Indians near Cullowhee.

For the adventurous excursion, saddle up horses in Cullowhee at ArrowMont Stables for horseback riding, test your endurance at the WCU Hiking and Mountain Biking Trailhead and Auger Hole Trail at Gorges State Park for mountain biking, or fly through the forest on the Highland Aerial Park zip line courses at Scaly Mountain, NC near Highlands.

For a romantic evening and special occasions, venture to Highlands and experience a magical evening stroll on Main Street after fine dining at Ristorante Paoletti, Wolfgang’s Restaurant & Wine Bistro or Madison’s, just to name a few.

See panoramic mountain views from Wayah Bald Lookout Tower or mine for gems in Franklin, known as the “Gem Capital of the World.”

Photograph the historic Jackson County Courthouse, fly fish the Western North Carolina Fly Fishing Trail, or enjoy the summer sounds of live music outdoors in downtown Sylva at “Concerts on the Creek” music festival.

Take a scenic drive or hike to nearby waterfalls including Cullasaja Falls, Dry Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, Bust Your Butt Falls, Glen Falls, and Secret Falls. More wat
