The Coo Shed is situated in beautiful Glenshee, Perthshire and offers guests some of the most comfortable, well-appointed and best facilities in the area, with stunning views from all rooms and the garden, this single level cottage for 4 is an ideal base for exploring or relaxing.

Our cottages are perfect for couples, families and their pets.

Our cottages all have stunning views over the Blackwater River, Mount Blair and towards the mountains of Glenshee and the Cairngorms National Park. The cottages are ideally placed for walking, cycling and skiing, or touring Royal Deeside, Cairngorms National Park, Pitlochry, Dunkeld, the Angus Glens and Blairgowrie - but they are also perfect for relaxing and enjoying the scenery.

Dalnoid is set in 6 acres of grounds and there are numerous walks, including the Cateran Trail, Munros and Corbetts on our doorstep. The Glenshee Ski Area is just 12 miles away.

The Coo Shed sleeps 4 (with additional space for a put-u-up bed and/or cot for younger children). The cottage has large floor to ceiling windows in the lounge, with stunning views overlooking mountains and rivers, which can be enjoyed from the comfort of the lounge or the outside decking, garden and hot-tub. There is underfloor heating throughout the cottage, powered by ground-source heat pumps, as well as a log-burning stove in the lounge for cooler or romantic evenings - we provide free logs.


Master bedroom with a king-size double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers bedside tables, armchair, radio alarm clock, TV, en-suite shower room, with shower, WC and washbasin.

The twin bedroom has 2 single beds, wardrobe, bedside tables and radio alarm clock.

The family bathroom has a full-sized bath with shower over, WC and washbasin.

The large open-plan living/dining/kitchen area has comfortable sofa and arm-chairs, coffee table, TV (Freesat), DVD player, dining table and 4 chairs (the table will extend and we can provide additional chairs if you need extra dining capacity to seat 8 - ideal if a larger group take 2 of our cottages together).

The kitchen is well equipped with double oven (LPG), dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, coffee machine and fridge-freezer. There are a good range of crockery, cutlery and glasses (8 settings), as well as serving dishes and equipment.

The cottage has maps, guides, books and games, as well as sledges in the winter. Secure storage for bikes is available for guests.

From the lounge you can step out through the patio doors onto a large private raised deck and enjoy breakfast as the sun rises over Mount Blair or an evening drink and barbecue taking in the stunning scenery. Steps lead down to the fully fenced, lawned garden, with private 5-person hot-tub.

There is also access to over 6 acres of grounds, making it ideal for visitors with families or pets. At Dalnoid we encourage a range of wildlife and birds including red squirrels, stoats, pine martens, hares and deer.

Our rental prices include all fuel, heating, logs, wifi, bedding and towels (including spa towels and bath robes for the hot-tub).

We live on-site, within the 6-acres at Dalnoid, and whenever possible will be here to meet our guests and show them into their cottage, and answer any questions they might have. All of our cottages have extensive guest information folders, giving lots of information about local facilities, places to visit etc. We are either available throughout your stay personally, or will leave you contact details, should you need to get in touch with us during your stay.

We went to stay here in the hope of skiing, unfortunately the weather wasn't playing and we only managed to skiing one day, but there was so much else to do! Whiskey distilleries, local history, lovely villages and sledging. Sue was absolutely fantastic and had a welcome package for us. They solved any issues that we had and nothing was too much hassle. Stunning views, incredible cottage- the pictures don't do it justice. We liked it so much we're doing it again next year highly recommend!
