“Beautiful scenery warm cottage”

Reviewed 17 Sep 2017

Kentallen is close to so many beautiful places to see, it makes the cottage a perfect start to trips in all directions: Oban, Fort William, Glencoe. We had everything we needed after coming back from all day of walking and sightseeing and we really liked the charm of the old building:) We had no problems with parking or going back the road using the mirror. Our stay was calm, we felt comfortable and just like home:) If you go back the cottage, up the hill with lovely sheep, you will find a walk to the most beautiful views of the lake and the mountains:) Enjoy:)

What an absolutely stunning place, the cottage was ideal even though just off a road it is so peaceful and in an ideal location to go exploring by foot or set off in your car. We all loved our time there and Mavis was very helpful in sending directions and suggestions. Overall FANTASTIC! If you've never been it's a must place to visit . Below a view from cottage garden

“Beautiful location. Views galore.”

Reviewed 13 Aug 2017

A lovely spot for a holiday. The house was lovely and had everything we needed. Such a handy location for sightseeing. We really needed a second week here! Parking very handy. Views were so beautiful from the windows or take a short stroll. Only issue was the safety of driving out of the driveway on main road with no sight around the blind corner (mirror provided but still a bit hairy). We lefta watch behind and they promptly posted it to us. Couldn't be more helpful. Would definitely love to come back again.

Owner's reply: Hi, As you say there is a safety mirror to help you come out of the parking area. It is also a good idea to turn left and go up to the Ardshiel entrance and turn round there.

Glencoe is a lovely area with a lot to do. We thoroughly enjoyed our week. Mavis was really helpful prior to our stay, however we were disappointed in the cottage itself. Whilst it is important to retain the characteristics of an old cottage, the cottage is unloved and is in need of redecorating and new carpets. There is an underlying smell and much of the kitchen utensils need a thorough clean. Simple touches like a new kettle, a decent coffee pot and vinyl flooring in the kitchen would make a big difference. With some TLC this cottage could be beautiful.

Owner's reply: Hi, I have been discussing the re-decorating of the cottage this November/December. I have let it go a bit waiting for a quiet time to start work. It will soon have the much loved feel to it again.

“Great location”

Cottage perfect for our needs. Location perfect and we have found some great restaurants locally. Views from cottage are amazing. We will almost certainly return at some future date

Owner's reply: Very happy you enjoyed your stay in the cottage. Mavis

“Lovely Cottage by the Loch”

Really enjoyed our stay. The cottage is perfect, cosy and has everything you need for a great highlands stay.

“Would definitely stay here again!”

4 Bayview is located in a really beautiful place where the view from the front changes alot depending on the weather. It is situated between Oban and Fort William and for us was ideally placed so we can visit lots of the local attractions and beauty spots. It is very close to Glencoe and driving through it to get around was a pleasure. The property itself is clean and tidy inside with a well equipped kitchen and comfortable seats and beds throughout. It is very cosy and I can imagine it being a really nice place to stay in the colder months too. Thoroughly recommended!!

“Excellent cottage in great location”

Reviewed 19 Apr 2013

The cottage was well equipped and had everything we need to enjoy our stay. Despite the cold temperatures outside the cottage was nice and warm and there was plenty of space for the four of us. There is plenty of car parking adjacent to the house and the information pack provided by the owner was most useful. The views from the front of the cottage were stunning. It is in a great location for fell walking and for visiting nearby towns such as Oban and Fort William. We would defiantly stay here again!

“A very well situated place”

Reviewed 6 Dec 2011

We spend a week with a magnificent weather in this place. The house is big enough and comfortable too. It is wonderfully located to go as well to the mountains as Ben Navis than to the sea, Oban is a vey nice place. And Glencoe is really close to the house. The boats on the little bay in front of the house we're resolutly charming. Martine & Miguel
