Nestled right against the mountainside, this cosy, fully furnished home can accommodate 6 people. There are 2 bedrooms with double beds and two single beds in the living room which are also used as couches. There is a bathroom with a shower and a fully equipped kitchen. All linen and towels are provided. There is a flat screen TV, DSTV and DVD. This house is eco-friendly.

They geyser is heated using solar power, all of the cleaning products and toiletries provided are organic and all of the linen and pillows are made from natural materials.

Enjoy a barbecue on the large balcony which looks over the unspoilt view of the mountains which are a protected Nature Reserve. This is a perfect location for destressing and relaxation. The Indian Ocean is a 3 minute car drive away, and there are lots of interesting attractions in the area.

Residents run, swim, hike, scuba dive, bird watch, whale watch & windsurf in the sea and mountains of Glencairn.

Locals and visitors congregate at the Glencairn strip which is a popular meeting spot due to the restaurants and bars which overlook the wetlands and the beach. A convenience store with additional facilities supplies provisions for the residents and visitors.

Glencairn is a popular destination for it's easy access to all attractions on the Cape Point Route - especially Boulders Beach Penguin Colony and the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve.

Glencairn Beach:

Glencairn has a great family beach which is popular with dog walkers and windsurfers too. When the wind blows, it is not uncommon to see kitesurfers catching some air!

Glencairn Wetlands:

The wetlands area in Glencairn is well preserved by an active local community who protect the indigeneous plant species, birds, small mammals and reptiles. Great area for bird watching or join the locals for regular Vlei clean-ups.

Glencairn Whale Watching:

Glencairn is a fantastic spot for whale watching in season. Locals and visitors congregate at the Glencairn strip which is a popular meeting spot due to the restaurants and bars which overlook the wetlands and the beach.

Glencairn Hiking:

Hiking in the mountains is a popular activity with excellent hiking routes in and around the region.

Glencairn Scuba Diving:

There is a small wreck in Glencairn - The Clan Stuart which ran aground in 1914 and is a popular spot for scuba divers.

Glencairn Tidal Pool:

The tidal pool, near the train station was built in the 1920's and is a popular safe swimming area - also used for snorkeling and sunbathing.
