Glastonbury Rose is an AA four star rated 'home from home', and we are pleased to say recently won a Tripadvisor award of excellence 2014. Close to shops and cafes, it is a perfect location, adjacent to the High Street, for any event, a nice meal out, a quick drink of coffee, or a stroll up the High St. just to see what's going on. It's equally a lovely place to return back to after a long day walking in nature, or attending a course. Perhaps have a quiet meal in, or a candlelit bubble bath. To make your first day of arrival that bit easier, we provide breakfast provisions at no extra cost. It is tastefully decorated to a high standard with no expense spared on beds and linens. Free unlimited Wi-Fi.
There is a selection of films and books to escape in, or learn from, and a very peaceful, lovely energy to help you relax and unwind. Glastonbury Abbey is 2 minutes walk away, and it's only a fifteen minute walk to Chalice Well, and the Tor. If you don't feel like walking, the Tor Bus stop is also two minutes walk away which will drop you off at the major points of interest. We are also located next to the Goddess Temple. Oh! There is a fantastic view of the Tor from the double room! Free parking two minutes walk away.
*We have a fold up single foam mattress for a fifth person at £15 per night, if needed.

The Somerset region
Glastonbury is an incredible place, full of history, mythology and mysticism. The locals are friendly, and synchronicity is a daily occurrence. It is a place where magic happens, and people from all cultures, beliefs, and religions live happily together. Anything goes. Really! You will find Glastonbury one of the few places on earth where you can just be yourselves, and no one will judge you. Most people feel an instant recognition, especially on first sight of the Tor... a beacon that seems to call you from times past. Miracles happen, chance meetings change lives. It truly is special. People get here when the time in their life is right, ready and receptive for change and healing. Come on, we dare you!
It is a mild climate. A sunny day in Glastonbury is like Teletubby Land.

Places of local interest are the Chalice Well Peace Gardens, the Tor, Glastonbury Abbey, Rural Life Museum, and the remains of the Holy Thorn Tree on Wearyal Hill! There are numerous cafes to sit outside and watch the world go bye. It's a place to just BE! The cafes and restaurants are only two minutes walk away. No need for a car.

"lovely, welcoming, comfy well equipped base for our holiday."
We had a great welcome and midweek stay at Rose Cottage. it was lovely for our daughters to be able to stroll off and browse the shops alone, we walked up to the Tor from the house quite easily(the distance was easy; not the hill :) ). Despite the weather being grotty we went to Clarks village and to Wookey Hole and even popped down to Weymouth for the afternoon and had a great family holiday. The gluten free bread from the bread shop was lovely and the gluten free fish and chips on a Thursday night from the chippy were really special! Thanks to Meredith and John for the menus; it was lovely being lazy and having takeaways!! The Thai/ Malaysian selection at the Oriental chef was scrummy. The beds and linen were sumptuous and Meredith's provisions were so generous we didn't have to go out buying basics. We were concerned about the car parking, but always managed to park within easy walking distance. The girls loved the details and attention given to every part of Rose Cottage.

"A home filled with good vibes and warm feeling"
We felt very fortunate to stay at Glastonbury Rose, the house is beautifully and thoughtfully presented and decorated, with comfortable touches everywhere and a generously stocked kitchen. A great central location minutes from the High St., the children felt very comfortable and at home in the space too. There were skittles on one night, however it was a low rumbling background sound and not really disturbing. I would highly recommend this property for a stay in Glastonbury.
Thank you so much for the thoughtful review. It was really nice to meet you and your beautiful family. I know John wanted to come say 'hello' as well. Sorry it didn't work out. Next time! All the best.

This is a delightful, spotlessly clean, well equipped warm and cosy cottage! A true home from home where all our needs had been anticipated and catered for. Perfect!
Thanks so much for your kind review. Hope to have a chance for a cup of tea next visit!

"Home from home in the heart of Glastonbury"
We stayed here for a short family break this summer. Meredith and John were really friendly and helpful, and had provided all the basics you could need for a few days away (milk, eggs etc) plus some luxuries (toiletries, candles, essential oils selection in the bathroom, selection of dvds to watch). The cottage was thoughtfully decorated and spotlessly clean and right in the heart of Glastonbury with a fantastic view of the Tor from the main bedroom window, and the beds were super-comfortable. Would definitely recommend this as a great place to stay to explore the area, and John and Meredith also do tours. We didn't take them up on this as it would have been a long day with the kids, but I'm sure they would make lovely and knowledgeable tour guides.
Thanks so much!!!!! So glad you enjoyed your stay. Look forward to seeing you next time!

"A snug convenient cottage."
Three of us stayed in the cottage over a long weekend. Meredith gave us a friendly welcome and showed us round. The cottage had been pre-stocked with eggs, cereal, milk, coffee, tea and so on. It is very well furnished with comfortable beds. The cottage is on a lane with very little traffic and we found it very quiet apart from the ocassional passing late night reveller. We liked the cottage very much and are planning to re-book for a return visit. It's central location is really convenient (two minutes walk from the main street). The stairs are quite steep which wasn't a problem for us but could be for some.

A super stay for the four of us (two loving adults and two amazing children). Small but a special something within these walls; calm, love and acceptance perhaps. Cosy times in the lounge, happy times exploring. Very good to be amongst the energy in the heart of Glastonbury. The keepers, John and Meredith, were so caring and helpful. A happy, comfortable stay for us all.

"Perfect place to stay at Glastonbury"
This nice and freshly renovated B&B is located in the middle of Glastonbury. From here we could easily reach all interesting points. It is a small victorian style B&B with two floors, ground floor with a living room, full equipped kitchen and terrasse and the second floor with two lovely bedrooms (very comfortable beds) and a bathroom. The kitchen was filled every day with fresh food and so we could prepare our own breakfast (Cheese, milk, eggs, baked beans, a lot of marmalades, fruit and more). We have been a party of four people in the glastonbury rose and loved it to sit in the sweet little living room at night having some drinks there. The rooms were cleaned every day and the owners John and Meredith Flannegan asked us for our breakfast wishes. We enjoyed a lovely tour to the corn crops, Stonehenge and Avebury with John. Excpacially the corn crops were amazing. Thanks John - you`ve been very patient with us on the tour. We´ll come definetly back.

"Perfect Location, Beautifully presented, Fantastic hosts - Couldn't ask for more!"
I really highly recommend the Glastonbury Rose for any individual or small group that wants to stay very close to Glastonbury High Street in a quiet and beautifully presented cottage. Every attention has been paid to detail in the layout and presentation, and I was really touched that the hosts had provided the usual tea, coffee milk etc, but had also provided bread, butter, eggs, biscuits etc. This is a real home from home, with every comfort provided for in a really peaceful little road that is quite literally a stone's throw from the High Street. I loved the little patio at the rear of the house for sitting out in the morning - is a real little sun trap. I used the cottage for a little individual retreat, and felt really safe and secure in the house so would recommend it to any female for a little time out. In addition, the additional services that both hosts provide at the Divine LIght Centre are really appealing (Mereditn offers massage and John offers various healing sessions - they are both people I would trust and recommend for these services). Can't recommend this cottage highly enough and will definitely be returning :-)
