“Lovely Apartment in a Great Location!”

Reviewed 27 Jan 2016

Raymond, the owner, is very friendly and helpful. He sent us lots of useful information prior to our arrival. Upon arrival, he showed us around the apartment explaining how everything worked. The decor and furnishings are excellent and the apartment contains everything that you need for a vacation. Wi-Fi is provided and works well. The kitchen contains everything that you might need should you decide to cook your own meals but the apartment is surrounded by good restaurants, including a great Italian restaurant on the ground floor! The location of the property is superb! It is right in the heart of the city. It is also very close to the underground rail system and is close to two main railway stations. I highly recommend this property.

“Amazing Apartment”

We Stayed in this lovely apartment for 3 days. It has lovely views of the city and is situated in a very convenient location to walk to all the local shops, restuarants ,bars and local landmarks/tourist sights. The appartment is beautiful, stylish and cosy and very well equipt. there was plenty of information about the city on hand. I can not recomend this appartment enough its just the lovliest of places to stay. The owner Raymond is the most kind thoughtful gentleman, ensuring are stay was perfect. We will be going back soon!

“Amazing Apartment - Home from Home”

Reviewed 25 Nov 2014

We stayed in West George Street Apartments from Friday to Sunday and it was like a home from home. The apartment was fully equipped even down to having a blender for making our cocktails! The welcome hamper with the milk, tea, coffee and cereals and rolls for breakfast was very much appreciated. The location of the apartment is superb as it is easy walking distance from the train stations and very central for shopping, eating out, bars, clubs etc. I would add a note that you can hear revelers making their way home from a night out in the early hours, and the traffic can be noisy at times, but the luxury and location of the apartment far outweighs the noise which is why I have rated it as excellent. We enjoyed it so much we intend booking again next year and you can't give a better thumbs up than that!

“Fantastic!”

Reviewed 18 Oct 2014

We were old friends heading to Glasgow for a dear friends wedding. 1 coming from London, 3 from Stornaway. The apartment was perfectly located in the centre of Glasgow. Plenty of shops, restaurants and bars around us. When your old friends catching up and wanting privacy, staying in a hotel just doesn't cut it. The idea of cramming into one room, sitting on the end of someone's bed, trying to catch up, drinking champagne out of plastic glasses found in the bathroom wasn't our idea of a good time but in our apartment we had a stunning lounge and kitchen. Everything you need in the kitchen from fridge, freezer, cooker, dishwasher, crockery, tea/coffee and the much needed champagne glasses. The lounge was as beautiful as it was comfortable. Perfect for our needs. There was plenty of room for us all to get ready on the big day. With plenty of towels in the bathroom...important for us girls and our hair! The beds were so comfortable. The linens were all beautifully clean and pressed. Raymond, the apartment owner, was incredibly helpful and friendly without being intrusive. He met us at the apartment to give us keys, show us round and leave his details incase of any problems. He'd even brought fresh bread and milk for us. The price split between us was the same as any hotel. We all said we'd definitely stay again.....no contest, best apartment in Glasgow!

“Historic visit to Glasgow! Referendum!! Ryder Cup!!”

We were personally greeted by the cheery and warm manager, Raymond, who told us everything we needed to know about the apartment. Could not ask for a nicer place to stay or a nicer host. Would highly recommend this place for all, and will gladly stay here again, should the opportunity arise.

“5 Star Apartment that had a lot of thoughtful touches that made it feel like a home from home.”

Reviewed 25 Nov 2013

We arrived at the apartment on Friday and was greeted by the owner Raymond who took the time to show us round and explain how everything worked. The apartment is beautifully decorated and furnished and was spotlessly clean. It feels very much like you are at home with everything in it that you could possibly need. The location is superb and it is central to the shopping centres, bars and restaurants so no transport required when we went out in the day or night. If you are a light sleeper you may hear the noise of people making their way home in the early hours of the morning but to be expected if you live in such a central location. We enjoyed it so much that we have reserved our next visit and you can't say better than that.

“What a perfect place to stay!”

Reviewed 2 Nov 2013

My husband and I, along with 2 friends stayed in Glasgow for 3 nights and wished we could have stayed much longer. This apartment was a perfect choice for us - very centrally located. Spotlessly clean, large bedrooms with comfortable beds. The modern kitchen was very well equipped and Raymond even made sure he left us something for breakfast on our first morning, Nice touch. My husband was totally impressed with the ARCAM stereo system. Raymond could not have been more accommodating - another plus for us. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone spending time in Glasgow. (One small thing is no mirror in the second bedroom - so bring a hand mirror)

“A great place to stay in Glasgow”

Reviewed 31 Aug 2013

Ray the owner is very welcoming and flexible, our flight arrived early and we were able to drop our bags off at the apartment when the previous guests left. What a good use of the change over time. I did look for a hotel, for 4 adults but by chance found this gem . Would not dream of staying in a hotel in Glasgow now ! Ray is there to meet you and show your around the apartment, explaining how everything works. It is a beautiful apartment and is nicely decorated and has a high standard of presentation. There is a small food welcome pack so a cup of tea/coffee and a Scottish role was just great :) allowing you time to find the local shops for food - there are several supermarkets very close by. The apartment is in a good location for access around the city of Glasgow, you can easily walk from the bus and rail stations, limited on street parking at a PRICE but I believe there is a car park near by. Lots of bars and restaurants around and you are in the center of town. Having read previous reviews we took ear plugs so the noise did not bother us - I would highly recommend you take these unless you are really lucky and can sleep through noise. The apartment is very well stocked with kit, TV, sound system, if you are a i apple user then there is a docking station and a charging plug available - not much help for all us Android users. Free WI FI. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything we needed, although apart from glasses of which there are a vast choice depending on your tipple is is pretty much setup for 4-5 people and we had a friend over for a meal so just enough and only 4 seats at the dining table but we did bring a chair in from the bedroom. Both bedrooms are lovely, and 2 king size beds, - this did not go down too well with my 20 something kids !! However one of the bedrooms is much bigger and we managed to resolve this with the help of Ray :) Our bed in the blue room was high and comfortable, I forgot to ask the kids but did not get any complaints. I had a couple of gripes about the apartment and have fed them back to Ray and I would suspect that they have been resolved already ! There only 1 frying pan we wanted to cook a full Scottish breakfast for 4, Oooo tattie scones, bacon, eggs and lorn sausage - nom nom, I can feel the heart attack coming on, even thinking about it now - yes we did use the grill too :) There was not enough mirrors, with 3 women requiring makeup and hair !! There is a mirror in the hall but not next to a plug and 1 mirror in one of the bedrooms. Minor gripes really. For travelers with a disability there are about 5 or 6 steps up to the front door so would perhaps rule out wheel chair use There a lift the apartment is accessible and has a large bathroom so access for other disabilities is good All in all I would highly recommend staying here and I hope to return Well done Ray and thank you for your warm hospitality

“Fantastic apartment in central Glasgow”

Reviewed 31 Jul 2013

This is the first time that I have stayed in a holiday rental. It was a tremendous experience and so much better than staying in the proprietary hotels which we would have booked. The apartment is easily reached from both Queen Street and the Glasgow Central railway stations. It is located on the second floor of a very attractive block near the city centre. It is beautifully furnished to a high standard, spotlessly clean, and has everything that you need for your stay. Its corner location means that the flat is very light and airy. The apartment was so comfortable that we struggled at times to get out and about to explore the city. The owner, Ray, is very friendly and does everything to make sure that your stay is a comfortable one. He also provided excellent advice on things to do and places to go. The only down side is that, being in the centre of Glasgow, there is street noise on Friday and Saturday nights. The flat was so comfortable though that we largely slept though the sound of the revellers outside. I thoroughly recommend this apartment and would certainly stay there again if I was visiting Glasgow.

“WGS apartments fulfilled all our high hopes and expectations”

Reviewed 20 Jul 2013

WGS apartment building was in the center of the Glasgow City with many restaurants and shops right around the corner. We are also pleased with the rich interior of the apartment and there was plenty of crockery and cutlery. Although we had a pleasant stay, the only drawback was we couldn't sleep too well due to the traffic noises at night. We must say that, Mr.Ray was very very helpful and friendly during our stay at Glasgow.
