This flat is roomy, beautiful and ideally situated in one of the loveliest areas of Glasgow which walked away with 2014 Great Neighbourhood Award from the Academy of Urbanism beatingf the Grand Canal Quarter in Dublin and Saltaire in Bradford.

It is easy to get to whether by plane, train,underground or bus. It is a very relaxing place despite being close to the heart of the city. It is a large flat with one huge bedroom and an equally large lounge.

The other two bedrooms are also of reasonable size. Ideal for up to 3 couples or a family to enjoy all that Glasgow has to offer but relax when you feel like it.

The Botanic Gardens, Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, Glasgow University, the Kelvin Walkway and Kelvingrove Park are all less than half an hours walk from the flat.

It only takes 10 minutes in a taxi to the SECC, Armadillo and Hydro which are the main venues in the whole of Scotland for exhibitions and music events. You can do it on foot in 30 minutes.

Glasgow city centre is just 30mins walk away or 10mins by underground.

“Great neighborhood!”

We loved staying at this flat. We especially enjoyed Cottiers pub and its garden just down the road, and walking all over the West End. The flat decor is a bit dated, but everything was clean and comfortable. Plenty of room to spread out. It was nice for our young children and there's a playpark just down the road. Plenty of free parking on the main road and on side streets. Notes for North Americans: this flat is on what we'd call the third floor, so lots of stairs. Less road noise, though. There is a clothes washer, but no tumble dryer. Drying racks are provided.

We were visiting from Australia and stayed in this flat for 3 weeks. I t's postion on Hyndland road meant it was perfect for a quick coffee across the road, in Hyndland or a slightly longer walk to Byres road or Cafezique on Hyndland Street. 2 or 3 parks 5-10 mins walk away, with small children or botanics, nearer a 20 minutes walk.(but worth it) Handy for shops on Byres Rd or quick drive to 24 hour tesco or Sainsburys. Also easy walk to cafes/restaurants/Ashton lane/ Hillhead underground. Bus stop just outside or across the road. The flat itself was warm and comfortaby furnished. There was a bit of traffic noise but that's the downside of being so well located on Hyndland road. My children loved watching the ambulances and buses go past. We had a great trip and I would definitely recommend this accommodation. A very authentic experience of Glasgow's West End. I would recommend it for families but it is on the 2nd floor and there is no lift.
