Getting around

We are very close to the main bustle of the west end. We have a local subway station 8 minutes walk away which will take you to the city centre and a number of interesting stop. There are regular traditional black taxis available at the local taxi rank. These can also be called and usually take less than 5 minutes to arrive. these traditional taxis can take 5 to 7 persons and you can specify when phoning. For private cars and uber taxis, we have numbers to call local companies. There are a number of regular bus routes accessed at the bus stop at the bottom of the road. Most will take you into the city centre. We are only a few minutes walk to the Botanic gardens and the west end shopping and bar / café area, so access is very good.

Interaction with guest

In most cases, either myself ( Graham ) or my wife will be on hand to meet and greet you or your party. This will then be followed by a short tour of the flat ( yes it is that big ) showing all areas of interest from wi-fi to heating controls, TV controls to recycling as well as a run through of all rooms and ant other facilities that the apartment has. I will also be able to provide local up to date information on activities or transport. If we are able to we may even be able to arrange a later check out for you depending on the times of the next changeover.

We are happy to have friendly, respectful groups or families staying at our house. There is no problem with having some local visitors if you are visiting family or friends. However we do not allow the house to be used as a base for late night parties or allow guests to take non guests in for overnight stays. We hope to provide a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, however anyone abusing this and causing extensive noise problems for neighbours or causing damage will be asked to leave

The appartment was very large with everything you could possibly need . There were 7adults and a 15month old and we all had more than enough space. It is situated in a lovely area with lots going on. We had a wide choice of restaurants and cafes as well as supermarkets. Transport into the centre of Glasgow is convenient and the Botanical Gardens are on the doorstep. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would certainly consider returning.

The owners greeted us upon our arrival & were so nice & very helpful. The flat with its large living room & large bedrooms was just perfect . The weather was really cold but the flat was always warm & the gas fire made the living room very cosy. There is a shop at the bottom of the street where you can buy fresh Morning Rolls - an absolute must . 5 min walk to the subway on Byers Rd., so can be in the center of Glasgow in 10/15 mins. There is a walking trail along the river Kelvin - you can walk along the river to the Art Gallery. For those wanting some traditional Scottish Music The Islay Inn on Argyle St has a jam session on a Monday night. - also a must ! Hope to return soon & will most definitely stay at the Queen Margaret.

Fabulous modern, clean and spacious apartment. With an ideal location for a family break, home from home. Very accomodating host. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it.

This flat has been done up to a high standard and is a perfect location for a trip to Glasgow being just minutes from all the amenities the West End has to offer. Would highly recommend it!

We were made very welcome at the apartment by Graham who showed us around the very spacious apartment. We all slept very well in the very comfortable bedrooms. The apartment is in Glasgow's vibrant west end, close to a plethora of bars and restaurants. It is also right beside the beautiful botanic gardens. We had a fantastic weekend and spent a lot of time in the apartment as the weather was wet and miserable and the apartment was warm and cosy! There were 6 of us and it could comfortably accommodate 8 adults.

A large and nicely furnished basement apartment in a great area of town. We were traveling as an extended family of eight but there was no chance of us 'tripping over each other" in this spacious accommodation. The apartment is conveniently close to plenty of local dining and drinking options and access to the city centre is easy from the nearby metro/subway stop. The owner is very helpful and we had a very enjoyable stay - no problems at all and we would certainly hope to make a return booking if we were visiting Glasgow again.

I came with a party of seven people. We were greeted by Graham who made us feel really welcome. The flat was fully equipped with everything you would ever need for your stay. We found the bars and restaurants within walking distance and a short underground journey to the central of Glasgow. Good shopping lovely friendly people. Would certainly recommend this apartment and would love to do it all again.

We received a warm welcome from Graham, the owner. He filled us in on local shops and amenities. He made sure the heating came on, showed us how to light the fire and how to connect to the free wifi. The rooms were beautifully clean, well furnished and very comfortable. There was everything we needed in the kitchen. The apartment is in a very pleasant part of Glasgow and we were within walking distance of the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, which is well worth a visit.

Lovely large, airy, well furnished rooms. Excellent for a family/friends group meeting up for a special occasion. Very friendly and helpful owner on hand if any advice or local information required. Suitable for wide range of age group. Central for Botanic Gardens and Westend attractions but easy to get into the City too. Quiet residential street, parking was no problem. Well equiped kitchen if want to self cater and local food shops/restaurants/cafe's. Extremely clean and inviting. Loved our stay and would be keen to come back.

We are 7 ladies of a certain age and we had a lovely stay in the apartment. Graham lives in the apartment opposite and was available to answer any questions. The accommodation was clean, newly furnished with excellent bed linen. It is very near the Botanic Gardens and so on the Big Red Bus route for sightseeing and not far from the tube station. There are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. We had a great time - so much so that on the morning of our departure, the group split up with some of us visiting the museums we had pre-planned and some of the others remaining in bed as it was too nice to get out of! Would definitely return.
