Description

Treat yourself to a week-long stay at a luxurious waterfront island retreat. You will live in a beautifully renovated three bedroom modern summer home with porches off the master bedroom and living room just a few steps from the water.

Piloted boat will make 1 trip per day to and from shore at no additional charge. Sit on your front porch or in an eight person hot tub on your sundeck. The property is situated on a promontory that enables you to relax in a lounge chair on your own boat dock and enjoy the magnificent sunrises and sunsets without ever moving your chair...simply by a turn of your head - east or west. If you choose to bring your own boat, this private dock can accommodate up to a 35 footer.

Also included, at no extra charge, are 3 paddle/peddle style Hobie kayaks along with a Hobie sailboat, a hand-crafted wooden rowboat, canoe and other water activities. Fishing on the lake is world class for small mouth bass, salmon, and trout. You can enjoy playing tennis on a clay-type court. Maybe you will take advantage of the more than three miles of walking trails through woods that start and end on the estate. Hopefully you will catch a glimpse of the wildlife such as deer, turkey, mink, raccoon and more than fifty bird species that populate the island. These include a bald eagle that normally perches right in the middle of the property, high atop one of the many towering pines.

In addition to the main house, as of 2017 there is a new bunkhouse next door that provides the option of 4 additional single beds. There will be an added charge of $250 per guest per week for the bunk house, and children under 6 stay free. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult in the bunkhouse.

If this unparalleled scenery is not enough for you and you crave a change, you can boat to one of the many ports along the shore where there are charming restaurants for a quick lunch or dinner, climb one of the many mountains surrounding the lake, many of which are the highest in the Northeast, or hike one of the lake-side trails just fifteen minutes away by either boat or car. Renowned Mount Washington, the highest peak in the Northeast (6,289'), is visible from right in front of the island and is less than 50 miles away, an incredible hiking experience. You can also ascend by driving or take the cog railway to the summit. Weirs Beach is the home of the second largest motorcycle gathering in the country, an enormous arcade and fireworks every weekend. Just down the road from Weirs Beach is Monkey Trunks Adventure Park and Funspot. This is just a sampling of the exciting adventures that await you on your visit to NORTH LEDGES.

This rental includes full linen sets, towels (including for the beach), peppers goods and dishes for meals, toiletries and paper, laundry and detergents, wine cooler, 2 under counter fridges and freezer, gas and charcoal grill , spices, sugar etc., and life jackets all sizes.

Unfortunately, due to past issues with pets, there are no pets allowed.
