Description

New Moon Villa is a charming and utterly peaceful villa of over 3,600 sq ft located on a ridge above Gibbs bay on the west coast of Barbados. The villa has 4 large air conditioned bedrooms, 2 with an en suite with a further shared bathroom and additional house bathroom. The villa has all the amenities and discerning holiday maker could lust for including an 8m x 5m pool. Enjoy beautiful views over the 2 acres of private garden to the azure Caribbean sea from the pool deck, where you will enjoy sipping rum punch as the sunsets or taking a shower under the stars.

The villa's 4 bedrooms are all large and air-conditioned, with the master having a super kingsize, 2 bedrooms having queen doubles and one having 2 singles that can be made into a king. There is also a fold up bed that can be moved around to suit. A cot and highchair is also provided. All bedrooms have a 50" television running Netflix or internet TV. Each bedroom and the house has Sonos sound systems. Housekeeping comes four times a week.

The large gardens provide limes, mangoes, bananas and off course plenty of coconuts to keep the punch jug full. Please feel free to pick Limes, Mangos and Apples yourself but Jack the groundskeeper will also get them for you and can also shimmy up a coconut tree on request!

View monkeys, local black bellied sheep who come to nibble on the lawn, and the bats and fireflies at sunset as they dive to drink from the pool as you relax in total privacy and seclusion. A villa not to be missed, away from traffic and noise.

Getting around

There are buses that come past the villa and also from Chirs's Place just up the road but there is no such thing as a timetable in Barbados! You can also walk down to the Highway 1 and there are plenty of buses (every 2-3 minutes) going into or out of town, generally however we recommend a car even if you just get a small one between your group as it makes doing the shopping a lot easier and you dont want to be carrying heavy cases of beer around. There are also taxis that are not too expensive. We have taxi recommendations on the notice board by the kitchen. There is no "official" villa taxi and unscrupulous operators have been known to call offering their services on that basis. If you are unsure please ask the property manager.

Interaction with guest

Generally most guest interactions, such as the meet and greet, showing guests around the villa on arrival and explaining how the gate, security system and TV's work etc is done by Ann-Marie from Blue Sky Luxury, our property manager in Barbados. Occasionally the owners may be staying in the studio, which is a separate building hidden behind a white fence although access is via the shared parking area. The studio does not look onto any of the bedrooms or the pool etc so guests can be assured of their privacy although it does share the car park. Owners will only interact with the guests if they want them to however are welcome to pop over to say hi! Alun or Michelle are always happy to help with anything to do with the villa or local area.

How do damage deposits work?
