From the owner

An imaginatively restored 13th century Augustinian monastery sitting within its own extensive grounds ,Romiti provides quite unique and historic accommodation in a stunning location in the hills above Lucca . Seven bedrooms all ensuite ( two twins, five doubles) with mountain views for sunrise or sunset and an intriguing blend of historic and contemporary detailing in furnishings and artwork. Two of the rooms have either a double sofa bed or can accommodate a further single bed.Further sleeping accommodation in the mezzanine library (double sofa bed) with access to its own toilet and shower room.
With its own chapel for dining, music, cinema and large scale events , a well equipped library and a working pottery and glass studio on site ,it is a place for finding creative inspiration in learning a skill or for simply retreating to a place of tranquility and beauty. Excellent local cuisine prepared by the owners form the well equipped professional kitchen .
Outside the salt water Infinity pool filled from the mountain spring in the grounds is a heavenly setting with views across the valley -totally secluded,an oasis of green.
