From the owner

Welcome to Petit Bourriche in the south west of France. The house has been completely renovated and is located approximately one hour south of Bordeaux. The house rests within a national forest, and is surrounded by woodland on all sides and is within the boundaries of the traditional village of Garein.

The property is available to rent all year round for any duration. If you would like to get away from the unrelenting hustle and bustle of everyday life then this family orientated property and location will not fail to deliver.

When being rented we will stay in the Gite that is also on site. This allows guests to be met upon arrival and for the swimming pool and grounds to be maintained throughout your stay.

The ground floor consists of a large kitchen/diner with gas hob and electric oven. There is a fridge freezer and a large dining table which will seat 8.

The living room has a good sized flat screen TV and DVD player with plenty of DVD films available. The main feature of the living room is the large log burning fire which helps to heat the whole house during the winter months.

Also on the ground floor is a large bathroom with a bath and separate shower. The toilet is in a separate small bathroom.

The entrance hallway is large enough to house under the stairs a washing machine and free standing freezer.

All bedrooms are located on the first floor.

Bedroom 1 has a double bed plus an ensuite bathroom with toilet and bath with shower attachment.

Bedroom 2 is the mezzanine and is in between the bedrooms. It has two single beds and a pull out double sofa bed.

Bedroom 3 is a large room with a Kingsize bed and a double sofa bed.

(There is 4th bedroom on the ground floor which we use ourselves but we use this for storage when the house is being let and is not available)

During the winter months wall mounted electric heaters can be used alongside the log fire to keep the house warm.

The extensive grounds allow plenty of space for family games. There is a good size swimming pool and plenty of space to sunbathe and eat alfresco. A decked area and BBQ are also located next to the pool.

In the garden there is a large Grange that contains a Gite and additional accommodation for when the house is booked. The Gite can be booked on its own and sleeps 5 comfortably.

Previous guests and visitors have always commented on how peaceful and tranquil the location is without being too far away from local amenities.

    How do damage deposits work?

    In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

    How do I edit my booking?

    You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Chris (the owner) a message.

    If Chris (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
