A traditional stone cottage, over 200 years old, situated in an elevated position on the edge of Coed-y-Brenin forest, in central Snowdonia National Park, within easy reach of the coast and main tourist attractions. Excellent views, walking and mountain biking from the door. The cottage is attached, in a group of three properties, on the owners' smallholding (sheep and pigs).

Size: Sleeps up to 6, 3 bedrooms

Nearest beach: 14 miles

Nearest amenities: Pub 3 miles; shop 5 miles

Pets: Pets welcome (unlimited number!) at this property. A charge of £25/week, £20/short break per pet applies but to a maximum of £75.

Short breaks: Available in lowest season; at other times may be offered at short notice

Smoking: Not allowed at this property

The North Wales region

Wales is a place of natural beauty and diversity. The north east of Wales features some traditional seaside towns and spectacular views and is a great place to stay. The West coast has some great coastal walks and lovely sandy beaches to discover. Surfing and dog walking is popular in this area. The north west has highlights including Mount Snowdon and the Isle of Anglesey in this magical part of Wales; you will find a break here relaxing or if you fancy going for a climb then it would be adventurous. The south coast of Wales has sandy beaches but also the benefit of access some of Wales' largest cities including the capital Cardiff. The Brecon Beacons are full of steep mountain escarpments, waterfalls and spectacular views. In mid Wales you will begin to discover the appeal of the Valleys. And finally, Pembrokeshire has jagged coastlines, secret bays and some of the finest coastal towns line this area and you can see why people return every year to holiday there.

“what a beautiful place”

spent a week at "maesgwm farm cottage june 2016. a very well kept cottage with scenic views all around.we walked a lot and visited surrounding ares. the owners were very nice and were available most of the time if needed. definatly recommend this cottage
