“Excellent dog friendly property”

Reviewed 24 Nov 2015

We enjoyed our stay at The Chestnuts - I went with my partner, my father and our dogs. The Chestnuts is in a great location for the "English Riviera", close to Brixham, Paignton & Torquay, but you also have the rural village aspect of Galmpton. We were a short drive (10 mins) from a dog friendly beach and also there are several large supermarkets locally for anyone who wishes to truly self cater. We tended to eat out - the Weary Ploughman was a favourite of ours - lovely food and friendly staff and again just a short drive or walkable in the summer. We were very impressed with the property itself - large barn conversion, yet warm and cosy - there would be plenty of room for a large family. Really good sized garden, completely enclosed and safe for any size of dog which was a priority for us. Would definitely stay there again.

“STAY AT THE CHESTNUTS COTTAGE”

Reviewed 9 Sep 2015

we stayed at the chestnuts cottage for the second year running it is set in a beautifull quiet location but not too far from Torquay Paignton ,brixham and Dartmouth which we visit regularly the cottage is very large and cosy with an ample back garden which is well maintained it has had recent refurbishment to the ensuite and main bathroom I would recommend this property to anyone who likes holidaying in the Torbay region we will be back

“Great place”

Reviewed 22 Jul 2015

The accommodation is centrally situated between Payton and Brixham, in a quiet location with lovely walks to the village and lake. The house is lovely and comfortable and offer spacious, dated and clean living areas. The garden is enclosed and a lovely area to play with the kids and dog. All appliances is in working order and the 3 shower rooms/bathrooms ensured all could be on time.... I would strongly recommend the Chestnuts to friend and family, as it serves as a home away from your own, while on holiday, that give you privacy and space. I will re-use this accommodation when ever in the area.
