South Point Abbey is a luxurious, 4 bedroom beach villa ideal for couples/families and provides complete privacy, comfort and tranquility.

The staff at the Abbey ensure that every need of the guests is catered to.

Experience typical Sri Lankan hospitality on the Southern coastal belt.

The historic Dutch beach house has been beautifully restored. Sitting on a headland with its own private pool the walls at Abbey have been built with coral by master craftsmen and remain intact to date.

Elegantly furnished, the rooms have an ambiance that make parents with young children feel 'at home.' The floors are remarkable - the original, antique, terracotta tiles are so cool to the feet.

The well-equipped kitchen is hygienically maintained, and is open to guests if they wish to prepare their own food or learn about local cuisine.

The 1st floor with 3 spacious, air-conditioned bedrooms (with en suite bathrooms) has an excellent view of the Ocean. The large living room has Cable TV and a DVD player. A long verandah leading from the bedrooms overlook the pool and the sea. Two rooms have an interconnecting door making it ideal for families with children.

The ground floor has an air conditioned bedroom (with en suite bathroom), a hall and a small study which can be converted to an extra bedroom on request. The open verandah serves as living and dining areas facing the garden and the sea.

Fully staffed including a chef and a manager. Staff are friendly, courteous and discreet, and will ensure the stay is memorable. They are on call 24 hrs.

Meals could be discussed with the chef and ordered to suit your palate.

Halal and vegetarian meals available.

South Point Abbey has a lovely beach. Sometimes due to atmospheric changes the beach will recede as the sand is very soft. However, a short walk will get one to the beach. While sound proofing is in place, the occasional sound from the passing traffic can permeate into the bathrooms, and may sound muffled in the bedrooms.

For larger groups, we have 3 beach villas adjoining each property. Guests, while being assured of total privacy, can still be together if they wish to.

Getting around

We have two vehicles 24/7 for our guests to hire. Plenty of taxis (tuk tuks) available in the area. Public transport is regular. The coastal railway service passes through the city of Galle, 20 minutes away from the villa.

Interaction with guest

Once the booking is confirmed, a detailed newsletter will be sent to the guests outlining all relevant information and the activities available. . Guests too can respond with their special requirements including any special occasion they would want to celebrate. On arrival at the villa, the manager and staff will welcome our guests. 100% exclusivity guaranteed. The owner is contactable over the phone 24/7. The manager is on call if guests wish to arrange meals, tours, or require other services. The staff will be on duty 24/7 if required. Privacy assured. Muslim guests can request 'female only staff' to be on duty in the villa. Guests could bring their stock of liquor. A local supplier could be introduced on request.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
