The apartment is a spacious, well equipped home for up to 4 people seeking a holiday in the peaceful non-touristy northern region of Gran Canaria (Grand Canary). It's part of a cliff top complex and is a 5 minute drive to the local sandy blue flag beach in Puerto de Sardina .
It's been our holiday home for 16 years offering a relaxing, secluded refuge far from our busy city lives, with all year round sunshine, and friendly locals. We'd like you to share the experience with us!
The house is part of a complex of purpose built holiday apartments in the peaceful area of Faro de Sardina in north Gran Canaria. It boasts a fully equipped open plan kitchen with local supermarkets just a five minute drive away, and is known for blue skies and sunshine all year round.
The kitchen area meets the living room over a split level which gives a lovely spacious feel. In the living area there is a large flat screen TV which has satellite connectivity to many news and entertainment channels covering numerous European countries in a range of languages. There is also a large DVD and CD collection.
Next to the kitchen is a balcony with a large table and chairs suitable for dining and a couple of sun loungers. The balcony does not directly overlook the sea (please see the photos in the listing) but enjoys sunshine from all afternoon and evening. The front terrace has sunshine during the morning hours.
The 2 bedroom rental house is ideal for families and has a baby cot (children under 3 stay for free). One bedroom has a double bed and the other has twin beds, there's an upstairs shower room as well as a second toilet on ground floor.
Parking is available immediately in front of the property plus additional free parking in the car parks close by.
You will enjoy full access to the rental flat.

“Excellent winter break”
Very well equipped apartment with everything that one would need. We were welcomed in on arrival by Victor and Trish who were extremely helpful in recommending places to go and where to eat. We had magnificent views from the balcony and watching the sun setting each evening. A short stroll to the rock pools nearby and a ten minute drive to the bars and restaurants and beach at Sardina. The only drawback was the lack of Wi-fi and perhaps a few more English TV channels. However, this certainly did not spoil a fabulous holiday. We hope to return.

“Wonderful, very quiet and well equipped”
Excellent apartment, as described and the apartment complex was very quiet which we liked. Really well equipped with everything you could possibly need. I like to cook and it had all the cooking equipment I needed, this doesn’t usually happen when renting a holiday let. The kitchen was really spacious. As everyone says there are loads of DVDs so we could watch a film every evening and tons of music cds to play during the day. There are also several Spanish teaching books and cds to help you learn or improve your Spanish. Victor also had guide books and maps giving you ideas of places to go. There was only one English channel on the huge TV, “world news”. The balcony off the kitchen was very big and had a table and chairs and umbrella to sit out, sunny in the afternoons and evenings. The ones off the bedrooms are tiny but good to check the weather. The bed and sofa and dining chairs were all very comfortable. As we were there for 2 weeks, Victor kindly left us a complete set of linen to change for the second week, even another pair of beautiful beach towels, and didn’t expect us to wash them even though the washing machine was there. There’s a coolbox and several large good quality shopping bags to help with your big supermarket shop, the Spar in the village is bigger than it looks and has most things you’d want and there’s a huge Mercadona and Lidl nearby. The area is very quiet and not at all touristy, we only met 2 English guys in the whole fortnight. It’s a 30 minute walk to the beach at Sardina, there were a couple of bars there with wifi so we walked down for a sunset drink each evening to check our emails. We always tried to get back before dark as there’s no street lighting. Daytimes we explored the myriad towns and villages in the mountains and the many little coves around the north coast, some sandy some just rocks. The sea is quite rough along the north coast but several places had a piscina – this is an area of beach contained by concrete walls so that the sea is calm inside. There is some spectacular scenery in the North of the island. We particularly liked Puerto de las Nieves, a pretty harbour town where the ferry goes to Tenerife every two hours. There are lots of restaurants along the harbour front with lovely views, these all compete with each other and most of them do a “menu del dia” (menu of the day) which consists of starter, main course, dessert and often bread and a drink as well all for about 8 euros (Feb 2017). They have plenty of other options too, we had a couple of nice lunches there at different restaurants. Car parking was not always available in the spot behind the apartment but there was a car park very near.

Had a great time even tho weather was not great. Everything you need is at this apartment, very well equipped we loved it. Lots of information books and maps .. fantastic little village/ beach.. Victor was lovely and very helpful .. would highly recommend for a quite getaway

“Superb, well equiped accommodation”
Very impressive accommodation, well away from the tourist track, but within easy reach of the beach and Las Palmas - if you're looking for entertainment. The accommodation has absolutely everything you could possibly want when on holiday (and the DVD collection is truly impressive!) Sardina may be off the tourist route, but if you're looking for a peaceful break to unwind, this has to be the place for you!
