PROFILE

Villa Albizi is immersed in the most idyllic Chiantishire: surrounded by vineyards that produce the world-renowned red wine, with views over rolling Tuscan hills and it is in the “Borgo of Montefienali” with its stone houses and cotto roof tiles.

Originally of the 16th century, the palace belonged to Florence Albizi noble family. Has been recently refurbished to a very high standard, retaining many of the original features. The villa is arranged over three floors and has seven double bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. This elegant villa is set in the historic hamlet of Montefienali, which was once a staging post on the road into the Chianti region.

It is the perfect place for a family vacation , private party , wedding ...

Villa Albizi is an inspiring retreat for groups of friends or large families , or just to take care about yourself..

The building consists of seven wide en-suites bedrooms, big living areas, dining room, kitchen. The house is on three levels connected to each other by an ancient stone staircase.

Inside the house the phone signal is poor , but there is a landline.

Wi-fi connection is available throughout the house.

The villa is enclosed by a luxuriant garden. There are several sitting and dining areas, loggias, terraces and lookouts scattered all around.

The pool area has been designed with white stone to reflect the rays of light and teak wood while a submerged black slate walkway from one end to the other captures the warmth of the sun.

May:

• L’Eroica Primavera, Gaiole in Chianti

Eroica Primavera is a historical cycling event which takes place along the white gravel roads of the beautiful countryside which forms part of the long 209 km L'Eroica route. It is south of Siena, between Val d'Arbia, Val d'Orcia and the Crete Senesi. The four routes leave from Buonconvento and spread out across the vineyards of Montalcino and Val d’Orcia, passing by Bagno Vignoni, San Quirico d’Orcia, Pienza and through the heart of the Crete Senesi, including Montisi and Trequanda.

• I vini del castello di Montefioralle - Greve in Chianti

Local wine producers gather and showcase the best of their production in the beautiful venue of the castle.

• Ferie delle Messi and the Giostra dei Bastoni, San Gimignano, third Saturday and Sunday of June.

• Bravio delle botti, Montepulciano:

A barrel rolling race between the eight Contradas (divisions) of Montepulciano competing for a Palio, a painted cloth banner.
