From the owner

Instantly feel settled in 'home from home' comfort and style. The house retains many original features and is warm and cosy at any time of the year with full central heating and a lovely open fire. The kitchen and bathroom have recently been renewed, and the remainder of the house redecorated and redesigned. Enjoy a meal in the dining room at the end of a hard days walking (or lazing!), or soak up the summer sun with alfresco dining in the pretty garden. The relaxing living room provides LCD TV with freeview and DVD player, and stereo system with iPod dock. Remember to bring your own DVDs and iPod/iphone.

The house provides space and privacy for the larger family, with a large master bedroom with a king size bed and plentiful wardrobe space, a second double bedroom and two single beds on the roomy top floor, both with fabulous countryside views.

The bathroom provides a bath and a separate shower cubicle.

The kitchen is fully equipped for all of your needs although for those planning food deliveries for their arrival, please note that freezer space limited to a small top section within the fridge. A second fridge is also available in the outhouse.

Bed linen, hand towels and tea towels are provided but not bath towels.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Sally (the owner) a message.

If Sally (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
