Gite Borie Bonaguil is a stylish gite built within a traditional golden stone barn, offering comfortable furnishings and facilities including free wifi

Gite Borie has lots of great reviews and also returning guests for the 2nd, 3rd ,4th and 5th time, which makes this property a very special place indeed!

The Gite benefits from a wonderful covered terrace for alfresco dining anytime of day, the terrace overlooks the swimming pool, garden and wonderful views over the meadows and forest, a perfect place for shade during those hot summer days, also located on the terrace is a good size table and chairs with a BBQ for dining and relaxing with a glass of local wine!

Located on a quiet private lane, offering direct access to 20 hectares of private land for you to stroll around, plus there are lots of walks in the local area with good foot paths for walking, cycling, jogging, horse riding, birdwatching, dog walking and even a place for the occasional artist to come and paint the beautiful scenery.

For the keen cyclist and for people who like walking the tourist information centres have lots of local maps for you to follow along the footpaths and rural chemins, with hardly any traffic it makes cycling and walking in the countryside a real pleasure.

An ideal location for families, friends and couples, who enjoy the countryside, scenery, sunshine, medieval history, gastronomic restaurants, local produce markets, vineyards for wine tasting. Lot Valley, Lot et Garonne and the Dordogne are all on the doorstep and places of history are within easy reach by car or cycling.

Chateau Bonaguil is a short distance away approx. 2km, where you will find 3 nice restaurants, a tea room and a few local craft shops, the Chateau is open to the public for guided tours, evening concerts, medieval displays and is a great day out for everyone to enjoy.

Local amenities for shopping are approx 5-10mins by car for banks, bakers, butchers, restaurants, supermarkets, the fresh produce markets are normally operating most days in the local villages.

Places of interest : Chateau Biron, Chateau Bonaguil, Monpazier, Puy l'eveque, Villefranche du Perigord, Fumel, Duravel, Sarlat, Cahors, Villeneuve-Sur-Lot, Bergerac, Duras, Montaigu de Quercy, Villereal, Castelnaud, Baynac, Montcabrier, Prayssac, Pujols, Penne d'agenais, Tournon d'agenais, with lots of wonderful history and beautiful scenery.

Whilst on holiday you can also enjoy Beauty & Massage Treatments, Horse Riding, Canoeing, Golf, Fishing, Local Swimming Lakes, Cycling, Parc-en-ceil for an adventure through the trees with zip wires and lots of fun, walabi's adventure park near Agen, plus the wonderful evening markets during the summer months and much more!

Pets : 2 Maximum - Please clear up after your doggie, especially in the Gite garden, no pets on furnishing or beds and please keep your dog on a lead when walking around our property as we have horses, obviously, once out on a walk please feel free to let the dog(s) go for a run.

Smokers can smoke on the terrace but not in the Gite

Children are not to be left on there own and a guardian to be with them by the swimming pool etc.....

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Karen (the owner) a message.

If Karen (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
