“Good, decent accomodation”

Reviewed 13 Nov 2012

I was searching for accommodation suitable for my baby, husband & mother in law around this area due to work. I needed something that had easy access to Granta Park, but that also provided the necessary amenities travelling with a baby. This accommodation fit that bill. It isn't fancy or particularly charming (its a fairly new built property and may lack the charm of some of the properties in the village), however, it is clean, well equipped and very reasonable in terms of price. The property is as advertised, so we were not disappointed. The area is quiet, we had no issues with noise, it had off street parking, which was a must for us and the proprietor was an absolute gem to deal with, always readily available to chat to. Overall, if you are looking for something modest and comfortable, easy access to Cambridge, Granta Park & Imperial War Museum for a couple of days and you are not terribly concerned about the interior being homely or well decorated, then this fits the bill!

“Excellent accomodation”

We had a great time staying in the house were we have rented for a month. The place is beautiful and very near to all facilities e.g: shops, supermarket, bus, parks, pubs, bars and other things of interest. We highly recommend the house to all who would like to enjoy the chance of a life and pleasure. The place in general is functional and safe to move around even with cycling activities. The owner, Susan is very helpful, attentive , accomodative, and extremely kind.

“Lovely place”

Reviewed 13 Sep 2012

We visited as a group of four friends for a relaxing long weekend, and this was a great place for that. Very close to local shops/pubs and not too far from Cambridge when we wanted to go out. The house was spotless and very well equipped - we just wished the weather had been good enough to take advantage of the massive garden! The owner was helpful and friendly and the cake they left for us in the fridge was very much appreciated!

“Warm Comfortable”

Reviewed 1 Jul 2012

Susan really made us welcome on arrival with cake and coffee. House location in Village is great with only 5 miles to Cambridge. Village has everything you require with wonderful pubs to eat in. Westayed in a lot of accommodation on our six week tour andSt Vigors can hold its head up high in comparison to any others. A big thankyou to Susan

“ideal, hassle free stop over.”

Reviewed 11 Jun 2012

We stayed at the rental house after a wedding in Cambridge and it was perfect for our needs. Close to the city (4miles or so), very reasonably priced and spacious. Susan the organiser was great and accommodated an extra person in the house easily at little extra cost and stocked the fridge with a generous amount of food, which we tried hard to eat but couldn't manage. I would recommend this option to anyone who hates paying for over priced soulless travel inns and other boring monotonous establishments Britain seems to offer.

“Excellent accommodation, great hostess”

Reviewed 30 May 2012

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at St Vigors Short Term Let. Susan had thought of everything and we found maps, bus timetables, restaurant recommendations, local theatre/film listings, etc. in the house; also clear instructions as to how to work all the appliances and wifi. Any other questions were promptly answered. We were welcomed with coffee and cake and immediately made to feel at home. The house is in an ideal location, quiet, close to Cambridge yet near major roads to other interesting places. We very much hope to return some day.

“comfortable base in a peaceful village near Cambridge”

Reviewed 18 Apr 2012

A well-presented semi-detached house, set beside a green in a quiet houing estate in a pleasant village near Cambridge. It felt spacious as there is a good sized garden and the living room is a nice size. A quick walk into the village centre for supplies or short drive to supermarket. Within a few minutes drive of park and ride which makes Cambridge accessible. Cambridge a really interesting city to wander around and shops enjoyed by teenage daughter. Within an hour's drive a number of other interesting places to visit. Owner friendly and helpful. Comfortable beds. Just one bathroom/toilet might create a bottleneck...

“Felt at home as soon as we walked through the door”

Excellent accommodation with up top date facilities. Clean & well presented. Good village location and helpful advice from owner
