Getting around

If you don't want to use your car, then just at the end of the lane to the cottage, you'll find a couple of bus stops (there's another 2 outside the excellent local pub/restaurant and playing field). The A607 is the Lincoln to Grantham road and hopping on the No 1 bus will get you straight into Lincoln with its great cultural and social centres. We can recommend Yvonne's Taxis from Sleaford as a clean and professional local taxi firm and if you are into your cycling, then why not bring your cycles with you to explore the many local lanes and great villages on the doorstep or further afield. There's Cliff Cycles repair centre in the Craft Rooms in the village of Fulbeck or an electric bike hire centre 6 miles away in Navenby

“Perfect relaxing getaway”

Reviewed 15 Apr 2019

We stayed here the first weekend of April for a chilled Hen weekend. Ronnie's place is beautiful - quiet location but still within a taxi ride of Lincoln city centre (where we spent our Saturday night, the taxi cost £30 there and £40 back). The cottage is well equipped - so much glassware, crockery, towels etc. I had brought a few cocktail glasses of my own but needn't have bothered. Heating was set so we were nice and cosy with the option of electric fires should it get a little chilly - we didn't need these. The hot tub was clean and warm, so nice to be undercover as well (we were lucky with the weather but would have been fine if it had rained). We ordered an ASDA delivery to the house and there was plenty of space to store everything (bottles of prosecco etc) including an extra fridge and freezer in the outer space. We booked a spa break at Urban Hotel, Grantham which I would recommend - close by and they have some good deals. However even though their afternoon tea was delightful I will definitely be making use of Ronnie's tea set and garden next time. There is ample parking by the property and it was very easy to find via sat nav. Ronnie couldn't have been more helpful, there are guides everywhere so you are never stuck for something to do. Instructions for everything are clear and she was a simple text or call away if we needed her. Sunday morning the Bride's little boy came round to see his Nan (also staying) and he had a great time with the games cupboard outside. There were reviews that the beds were soft but we found them to be very comfortable with lovely plump pillows and cosy duvets. We ended up being 6 ladies - 2 in each room, even with a 7th we still would have had room (I'd say 6 adults is perfect though). Only 1 shower/bath but that wasn't an issue. There are 3 toilets. Really couldn't fault the place - everything had been thought of, including a very cute welcome basket of local goodies. We would definitely book Fulbeck again in the future, would recommend for families, groups and couples alike. Thank you so much Ronnie, we had a fabulous time!

Owner's reply: Thank you so much for such a comprehensive and flattering review! We do listen to all suggestions for how we can improve what we offer, and now we know you fancy doing Afternoon Tea at the cottage, we'll make sure we pop some more cake stands and bits to help you make it a real fancy affair! There's a artisan bakery just 6 miles up the road, who have just won Lincolnshire's Best Bakers in a national award this week, so we can direct you there for everything you will need for your Afternoon Tea Celebration. We'd love to welcome you back and thank you so much for leaving the cottage so clean and tidy - we would highly recommend you too! See you again soon BW Ronnie x

“Fantastic”

2nd stay in a year. Even more enjoyable than the last and already considering when to book for 2020 as this will be a regular holiday for us. Accommodation is incredibly clean and well catered for all types of family/ group stays

Owner's reply: We are so happy that your second stay this year was so enjoyable and that you want to return! We take great pride in our cleaning and are always thinking of ways to improve what we offer. Thank you for your lovely comments! See you again soon! "Ronnie"

“Weekend away with the girls at fulbeck cottage.”

Reviewed 4 Nov 2018

My friends and I were so impressed with the cottage absolutely beautiful and everything was spotless. Everything is in the cottage that you might need. We enjoyed the use of the hot tub and the games that were there. We will all be returning.

Owner's reply: Thank you Vicky for that wonderful review! It means so much to me that you were impressed with how clean the cottage was presented for you and that you had everything you needed for a perfect weekend away with "your girls". We'd love to welcome you back and we will sort out some new games for you all to enjoy. See you all soon! BW Ronnie x

“Once Again Perfect”

Reviewed 17 Sep 2017

This was our 2nd stay at Fulbeck Cottage & certainly won't be our last. Fulbeck Cottage truly is home from home & really does have everything you need & more! It is so peaceful & relaxing, with so many places to visit, which are never far away! Fulbeck village itself is perfect too with the park, walks, craft centre & local pub. Ronnie's hospitality once again was outstanding. I would certainly recommend a stay here 100%. Thanks again Ronnie

Owner's reply: We were so looking forward to you and your family returning - you're such a lovely family! Glad you felt relaxed and comfortable in the cottage once again and still found lots to do locally and further afield. We hope to welcome you back again soon!

“Quiet and charming”

Reviewed 1 Aug 2017

The cottage was in a lovely secluded area and easy to find. The facilities were great, large double rooms, 3 toilets and spacious dining/lounge areas. The pub took a little longer to reach (in high heels) than expected, but it was delightful, and the food/hospitality perfect. The only down side was the hot tub which had only two jets working. This didn't ruin things but disappointing when as this was something we'd all looked forward to. Would recommend

Owner's reply: Thank you for your lovely comments and delighted you enjoyed your stay and would recommend the cottage to others. We are delighted to announce we won our 4th consecutive GOLD award from our accrediting body in July this year and we're always striving to maintain these high standards for all our guests. The local award winning pub/restaurant is a real gem we agree, and there's a craft centre and tea-rooms a stride away too. All reached by a 5 mins walk or a leisurely 10 min stroll down the lane to the main road. We'd love to welcome you all back again!

“Fantastic Cottage”

Reviewed 15 Aug 2016

Stayed for 7 nights at Fulbeck Cottage with my family of 6 (2xAdults & 4xChildren) Perfect cottage, surroundings & location! Ronnie the owner was so lovely & so helpful. All the rooms were of a perfect size, very clean, very well equipped & beds so comfy. Plenty of room for all of us! The gardens were fantatsic for the kiddies to play in & the surroundings were perfect for them to explore on their bikes. Would 100% recommend Fulbeck Cottage to anyone wanting a lovely relaxing holiday.

Owner's reply: Thank you Tamzin for your great feedback! I am delighted you all enjoyed your stay and that you loved the cottage. I agree it's a great place to relax, let off steam and recharge those batteries, and not having to worry about neighbours. Thank you for your kind words about the cleanliness and level of comfort - I love to put little extras in and I am only 5 minutes away should anyone need my help. We would love to welcome you back for a short break or longer and I would be delighted if you recommended Fulbeck Gardens Cottage to others! Enjoy the sunshine today x
