Casa Marsh is a modernized Spanish Finca. It's a comfortable and functional holiday home. The Finca has many advantages over modern properties on urbanizacións. Namely: character, space and tranquillity. It will particularly appeal to larger families due to the space and off road location. With 8 beds, Satellite TV, an oval frame pool (549 x 366 x 122 cm), outhouses and acres of immediate, safe countryside to explore, your kids will immediately be occupied. Meaning you'll have time to relax. Casa Marsh will also be attractive to guests who may have pets, especially dogs, as the rear garden is enclosed and spacious. It has shady areas and is suitable for allowing your dog to sleep outside
This Spanish Finca Rústica (traditional whitewashed farmhouse) is set in the peaceful Spanish countryside, just outside Fuente Alamo. But still only 20-30 minutes drive from several coastal resorts. Mazzaron, La Azohia, Cabo de Palos and the Mar Menor are just a few of the accessible areas with dozens of beaches between them. The area allows you to experience Spain as it was years ago, whilst also enjoying the modern Spain of today. Fuente Alamo the nearest village is only 5 minutes drive away. Fuente offers all the necessities you might need and like many provincial Spanish towns off the tourist 'track' are considerably cheaper for drinking and eating.
A twenty minute drive to Cartagena provides an altogether different experience. Cartagena is a modernised, historic port with a splendid seafront promenade lined with restaurants. The atmospheric Grand Via has all the retail shops you might need, alongside lots of traditional cafes and bars. There's a Roman amphitheatre to visit, as well as several museums. That's why it's now a regular stopping point for cruise liners.
The Murcian coastal region enjoys one of the best sunshine records in Spain, boasting over 3,000 hours of sunshine a year. Its coastline is bathed by the warm waters of two seas. In fact, its coast is known as the Costa Cálida (the warm coast), and is home to endless beaches and small coves which offer multiple options for leisure, sports and well-being. But there's more to the area than beaches - the Sierra Espuna regional park offers camping and walking paths through cool, mountain pine forests. There's historic Murcia (City) to explore, whilst 40 minutes further north there's the wonderful Balneario de Archena thermal spa. For golf enthusiasts there are over 40 courses to choose from in the immediate area, including award winning Club La Manga and Hacienda del Alamo, which is only 15 minutes drive away.

The Murcia region
The Murcia region boast over 3,000 hours of sunshine a year, and its coastline is bathed by the warm waters of two seas. In fact, its coast is known as the Costa Cálida (the warm coast), and is home to endless beaches and small coves which offer multiple options for leisure, sports and well-being.
The amazing Mar Menor (little sea) is created by the sand bars of La Manga and is the ideal family destination for relaxing and enjoying the beach and sea. You'll also find long white sandy beaches such as those of San Pedro del Pinatar; unspoilt coves such as the ones in Cartagena, curious landscapes such as the rock erosions of Mazarrón, or fishing towns such as Águilas.
The region is also known for its wide range of wellness and beauty centres. Many of its beaches are considered open-air spas, due to the hyper-saline waters of the Mar Menor, and its therapeutic mud. The region is also home to several major spa resorts.
The two major towns of Murcia and Cartagena are modern Spanish cities, which have managed to retain a traditional Spanish atmosphere.
Fuente Alamo is a traditional, relaxing town famous for being the source of water in an otherwise arrid area. Situated 22 km northwest of Cartagena and 35 km south west of Murcia. The town is surrounded by the mountains of Algarrobo, Los Gómez, Los Victorias and the Carrascoy. The water from these mountains flows down into the Rambla de Fuente Álamo and then onto the Mar Menor.
Fuente is a service town for the many nearby golf courses and resorts, as well as the local agricultural industry. It affords quick and easy access to the coastal city and port of Cartagena, beaches of Mar Menor and La Manga. Murcia city and other points North are easily reached by new, fast roads, whilst a new toll road gives quick access to coastal areas in Almeria and beyond.
A new municipal pool has recently been built in Fuente Alamo, offering two pools, sun loungers and a poolside solarium area.
The nearest airport is San Javier, which can be reached in 40 minutes.

"Peace in the REAL Spain"
A lovely old finca set in the countryside. Very quiet and peaceful but within a 20 minute run to several wonderful sandy beaches and only 30 minutes to the mountains. The children could play out and explore with no worries. The local bars and restaurants provided a good 3 course menu for 8-10 euros (Menu del Dia) and the children were made welcome and one fussy 4 year old was catered for. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
