The Andalucia region
Malaga is the nearest airport and has easy accessible train station to Fuengirola. The airport is
about 17 miles or 30 minutes car journey. Meet and greet service available on request.(payment to be made to driver)
The apartment has a great location as is close to town but has a tranquil setting is within walking distance to town centre it is also situated near Club La Costa.
Fuengirola offers a superb nightlife catering for everyone old and young.
Local traditional Spanish foods, International and British favorites are available in the many local restaurants. Most bars welcome families and provide entertainment.
There is family fun at the Aqua Park and a visit to the unique Zoo is a must, it has a "moonlight" visit staying open until 1:00 am in July and August it also has a themed restaurant, a large play area for kids plus a miniature farm. The jungle area is definitely worth seeing.
A ride along the seafront in the little train or in a horse drawn carriage is very relaxing. For the more adventurous there is Go Karting and Horse Riding.
Glass bottom boats run trips through the day and evening are available at Los Boliches, All aboard to spot the school of Dolphins. It is also a nice walk to the Port and Marina which offers cruises to see dolphins, water sports, scuba diving and sea fishing. Great shopping and a popular street market one of the largest in Spain.
The Moorish Solhail Castle is just short walk away and is the centre of the International Music and Dance Festival in July and other performances in August. A Medieval Market and summer night festivals are also held there. Every year from 6th October to 12th October there is the 'Romería' which is the great Fuengirola Fair where you can see flamenco, horse drawn carriages, singing and dancing in traditional Spanish costumes during the day and in the evening until dusk at the Fairground situated at La Cala where they have "casetas" themed bars/restaurants representing every country with music, dancing etc, and of course there are the usual fair ride attractions. Normally bulls are run along the streets before the opening of the Fair (Feria).
One of the biggest Fairs on the Costa del Sol is held mid August in Málaga which is equally fantastic but just on a larger scale.
The main train and bus stations are situated in the centre of town and are an ideal way for travelling to local villages such as traditionally trendy Mijas, Marbella, Puerto Banus and Malaga's now world famous Picasso Museum.
Traditional white villages such as Mijas Pueblo. This beautiful little village sits over 400 metres above sea level with spectacular views down to the sea and all along the Costa del Sol. The craft shops have some wonderful handmade pottery, jewellery, and paintings and prints by acclaimed local artists. Donkeys are still the official village taxi and you can get a donkey taxi ride from the Town Hall through the village.
Another fun place for both children and adults alike is Tivoli World theme park in Aroyo de la Miel, Benalmadena has something for everyone. For a leisurely day out the park has wonderful gardens, fountains and walkways, with numerous bars and restaurants. There are several free shows each day and if you want some real thrills, you can try one of over 30 fun rides on offer.
Alhambra Selwo Marina at Benalmadena features a Dolphinarium, sea lions, penguins, exhibitions and shows. A wonderful day out for all the family.
If you enjoy horse racing, why not spend a day or a night at the races on the coasts only racing course? Located just a few kilometres outside Fuengirola, there is horse racing every Sunday from October to May. Summertime schedule races are on Saturdays evenings.
There are also over 70 superb golf courses to choose form on the Costa del Sol- Or you might like to try a boat trip, horse riding, quad bikes, scuba diving, bullfights or one of the two casinos - at Benalmadena and Marbella. and don't forget everyone's favourite - the daily markets.
For those wanting to explore the wider region there are many attractions a little further afield that can be easily reached by car, train or organised day trips, including the stunning historic town of Ronda, the rock of Gibraltar and the magnificent city of Granada with its spectacular Palace. For those who like to ski, the Sierra Nevada mountain range is also within driving distance.
Hope you find this information helpful and you enjoy your visit to the Costa del Sol.

"Not a happy bunny!"
As soon as we entered the house. we was greeted by a cockroach. The electric kept cutting off while washing clothes and cooking which we was blamed for using too much electricity. we turned off everything and had just used the stove and still it kept cutting off! no clear instructions on where to leave rubbish. Left a rug in a bathroom which got wet and owner complained it was ruined and i had to pay for a new one. So majority of the deposit had been taken!!! the remaining money left from the deposit was sent to me by cheque and my name was spelt wrong and owner refused to send me a new one! Agents was no good! Could not find remote to air con in main bedroom which they had no clue where it was also told us we could use the pools anywhere in the resort if you just purchase a drink. but really everything is put on a tab so you can't pay by cash. So we got chucked out and was really embarrassed. really rude with accusations too! Even though all those things happened, never once did we complain. we just got on with what was there. I highly recommend you go elsewhere! Really nice at first, but took liberties as soon as keys was returned!
to rectify this review. The party tried to gain access to the secure garden apartment by climbing over the 6ft + garden gate and damaging same therefore the repair to this was deducted from the damages deposit together with the cost of replacing a bathroom mat ruined. They also broke the washing machine which was not deducted. I had also to employ further cleaning staff to make apartment presentable for the next clients. The electricity does trip when to much is used at same time which was explained to party, with regards to the pools they were not informed that they could use any pool and the credit card ruling was imposed by Club La Costa. The return of the remainder of the damages deposit was made payable to the named person that all correspondence was made and therefore was reluctant to change payee of cheque. Please do not let this review hinder your decision to enjoy a lovely holiday in this area.(see other reviews).

"Spacious with an amazing sea view"
Excellent apartment, very clean and spacious , a home from home. Mari the owner and Ray,agent were more than helpful to answer any questions.Just a few minutes to the beach and large garden, ideal for sunbathing.Just on the outskirts of club la costa ,there is one open swimming pool there at Zachery's, heated in winter ,but it can get crowded. Straight walk into town centre about 20mins walk or jump on the bus for a few euros. Taxi's are expensive and vary each time. On average 10 euro to get from apartment to town centre. Plently of shops with all sorts and shopping mall.Plently of places to eat and drink , fish alley is a must with full range ,where else can you get a three course meal starting from £6. There is a market in town at the weekend, usual repetitive stalls but worth a look for cheap presents.
Thank you < I knew you would enjoy the views and we strive to please all our visitors.

"Top Quality Accommodation at a Budget Price"
The photographs don't tell the full picture of this accommodation, as it is so much bigger than I had anticipated and with six of us staying you never felt it overcrowded. The rooms were clean and tidy with plenty storage space and the two bathrooms were necessary. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you would need. It did have satellite but no Internet/WiFi, which was no worries for myself but the kids missed it (probably a good thing!). The gardens were neat and tidy and well looked after and you were able to get the sun for as much of the day as you liked. There was a set of stairs to negotiate so if you had a disability could be ackward. Great setting and really cannot fault the accommodation and would happily recommend it to anyone.
Thank you for you very nice words about the accommodation. I appreciate your comments and hope you will return soon.
