Getting around

Fuengirola and Los Boliches are perfectly suited for strolling. The Paseo is seven km. long, and all the little street beg to be explored. Outside town, landscape is spectacular, and very varied, just hop in a car and go adventuring ... you will fall in love with Spain. The largest city is Malaga, which is ancient, can be reached easily by the local train, and very underrated ... it deserves a visit.

“Beautiful view with home comforts!”

Reviewed 13 May 2017

Firstly, Gael was a pleasure to deal with and any questions answered in an instant. The apartment was so comfortable and roomy with 2 enormous settees to lounge about on. The first two days were very windy and quite cool so it was nice to have the relaxation of an apartment. I have health issues and all the seats were comfortable with lots of cushions and cozy blankets. Los Boliches is a quieter part about 20 minute walk from the marina but still some nice restaurants and bars close by. It was lovely to sit having breakfast sat outside looking at the sea and surrounding areas. We spent 4 days on the beach ,yes you have to pay for them but they are pure comfort with really thich cushions on them. Heaven for back sufferers/arthritis. Gael sorted out transfers for us at 30 euros each way. Brilliant and no pushing you out the apartment on the last day like most places. Had a fab relaxing week and would definitely recommend. Not forgetting the great welcome pack on arrival .... cava, milk, bread, ham, cheese, butter and all detergents etc... in cupboard and no need to take towels. Great! Thankyou for a lovely week. Debbie and Jeremy Lincolnshire xx

Owner's reply: Ah, what a lovely response ... exactly what I like to hear, music to my ears ... people enjoying the apartment and the views. Thank you for relaxing, having a great holiday, being very easy to arrange everything with, and leaving everything spotless ! Welcome back, many times xxx

“Spectacular!”

Had a last minute, short wee break over New Years. Couldn't believe our luck at getting this apartment. Has to be the best position in town, fabulous views up & down the coast & a sun trap balcony where we spent most afternoons basking in 20 degree sunshine, in December??!! Bliss! Apartment itself has had a recent upgrade in furnishings so even better than the photos. Fully stocked kitchen, towels & bedding all suppied & plentiful (& no requirement by the owner to launder bedding etc as we've been asked to in other places we've rented) before we left. She includes all that, so all we had to do was relax...the 'Welcome' bottle of cava in the fridge was a lovely touch, which we enjoyed throughly & it was fab having bread & tea etc already there to start us off. We, as always, forgot bits & bobs but Gael encouraged us to take advantage of the shampoo, toothpaste etc which she keeps in the hall cupboard...even took advantage of a nice nailvarnish I found in there too! I couldn't fault our stay, or Gael. Even when the gas ran out & we needed a new bottle she got us sorted within hours. I of course have read some of the more negative reviews on here, but 'honestly' these people must've been staying in a different apartment, or just be professional moaners (wouldn't surprise me actually!) I & my family would go back in a heartbeat. Super relaxed, home from home (just much more glamourous!) with everything you need for a brilliant holiday & handy for all the 'stir' too; but far enough away from it to be able to enjoy the sound of the waves at your feet. If I win the lottery I'd be making Gael an offer on this one!

Owner's reply: Well, I hope you do win the lottery, so you can come back and stay often, but sorry, not for sale ! Seriously, I'm delighted your group had a relaxing stay, and the weather had settled down again ... of course, as you discovered, the balcony off the living room forms a natural sun trap, so in the winter time the temperature can be ten or twelve degrees higher there than on the Paseo below, as there's no wind, nor chill-factor. And it's a great spot for idling afternoons away, "people-watching" ... But then, some people are out to enjoy themselves ... and they're "our sort of people", always welcome !
