“Clean, spacious and comfortable villa and private pool”

Reviewed 5 Aug 2013

Just returned from 10 nights in Villa Barranco. The villa has just undergone a great refurbishment with lovely bathroom, ensuite and kitchen. Has all you need and was clean and well equipped. The variety of terraces and space outside is great with lots of shade available - the seating area by the pool very comfy. The pool ranges from approx. 1.4m to 1.9m gradually sloping but with roman steps to get in and is 8m x 4m. Loved it! Location is quiet in a residential area with lovely views to the sea (just) and upto the mountains and Mijas Pueblo. Mijas is great for a day out (single bus fare 1.55 euros). Free flamenco show on Wed at noon too. The walk with our youngsters in the heat into Fuengirola centre took about 45 mins, downhill but definitely a taxi home (8.50euros) We walked to El Corte Ingles (15 mins) and got a taxi into centre only 6euros. Biopark (zoo) a great day too. A great holiday and a good hostess, Stephanie, who provided good value transfer and a tour plus supermarket stop too! Thanks! Recommend for a relaxing holiday by the pool.

“Villa Barranco - Home away from Home!”

Reviewed 7 Jun 2013

We stayed in Villa Barranco in May. The villa had recently been refurbished and looked amazing. The villa was very spacious inside and out. We absolutely loved the swimming pool and the seating area around it. It was so relaxing and easy. Stephanie and Frank are the perfect hosts and arranged car hire for us for our trip to Gibraltar (well worth a visit). We had a couple of BBQ nights which were great fun! The villa is in a great location and we hope to be back next year. Thanks Stephanie and Frank ....See you soon.

“Awesome place and so relaxing.”

The villa is a stunning place to stay and has just been recently renovated so looks fabulous. Our family had such a relaxing time there and Steph makes it all so easy and stress free. Everything you can think of was taken care of which means you can enjoy your holiday from the minute you arrive. Great location, lovely pool, gardens and feels very safe and secure if you have younger children. We really didn't want to go home!

“Had a fabulous time”

We were really sad to leave villa barranco. So we are now making plans to come back (twice), next year. Steph was an exceptional hostess and catered to our every need. Our 2 children had a brilliant time with the pool which made it difficult for us to leave the villa!! If you want a relaxing holiday and the kids taken care of this is the holiday for you. The villa is beautifully decorated and in exceptional condition. Thanks Frank and Steph we hope to see u in may

“We[--]ve found the place!”

Reviewed 21 Sep 2012

We're just back from a one week stay (June 2012) at Villa Baranco and are already making plans to come back next year. The only thing better than the villa itself was the owner Stephanie who really went over and above the call of duty to be helpful and settle us in (and out!). The villa is extremely comfortable (beds and settee in particular), nicely decorated and well equipped (big LCD TV with UK channels!). Air con in the bedrooms was a boon at night, but the villa naturally stays reasonably cool anyway. The private pool was a good size and is not overlooked and the various terraces are perfect for alfresco dining/drinking or just chilling reading a book The location is perfect also, 10 mins walk to the shops and 26 mins (yes we timed it!) to the front at Fuengirola/Los Boliches, yet the villa itself is in a nice quiet residential area. If you get the train from Malaga airport a car is really not necessary. Overall, Villa Baranco is easily the best accomodation we have found in the area and we will definitely be back.
