Location description from owner

The England region

Our bungalow is located in what is often referred to as the quiet side of the island, a few minutes drive from the picturesque village of Colwell Bay which is known for its friendly atmosphere, dramatic coast line and rolling countryside.

Additionally, nearby, Freshwater Bay is home to a delightful beach - perfect for relaxing by the sea with the children, a quick dip or even a gentle stroll.

Freshwater

The Needles Adventure Park is located within 5 minutes drive and has lots to do for all ages. From the sweet factory where you can actually see boiled sweets made from scratch, as well as crazy golf, traditional seaside amusements, glass blowing studio, boat trips and the chair lift taking you to the coloured sandy cliff faces below, plus much much more, you can really lose yourself for half a day at this great adventure park.

Further afield through out the island awaits a diverse and wide collection of things to do and see. Rich in culture and history are the many National Trust and National Heritage properties, a multitude of old age pubs and restaurants and lots to see, do and discover, whatever you crave our little island has it all! And if you want to hit the shops for the day, the island's "Capital", Newport, plays home to the majority of high street fashion brands to help those needing a little retail therapy!

“Wow! What a find!”

Reviewed 31 Aug 2016

I stayed in this bungalow for a week with my partner and our 11 year old daughter and it was nothing short of perfect! The location is stunning with a glorious beach only a stone's throw away where we spent every evening rock pooling, reading and inspecting all the pebbles we could find before sinking our feet into the sand and paddling. We watched the sun set, the lighthouses blink, the sailing boats and the needles. There is not much light pollution so we could easily make out so many stars, sattelites, shooting stars and the Milky Way! There are beautiful coastal walks to be had around here and we could get anywhere by car in less than an hour and most places much less. There is also a bus stop not far from the bungalow. The bungalow itself was light and airy but also cosy when needed. It was clean and had everything we needed to cook and relax. The beds were super comfy and there was a table set on the patio to enjoy too. It was the perfect place to wake up in and come back to each day, I really could not have been more delighted to come here.
