Location description from owner

The England region

The Isle of Wight famously known as 'Dinosaur Isle' (not for it's residents!) is steeped in history and is brimming with culture and beauty. There is something wonderful to discover round every corner, and something for everyone too - from the worlds largest sailing regatta 'Cowes Week' to hosting one of the worlds largest Music Festival to date, the Isle of Wight Festival - It is a little island with big ideas! We have Walking Festivals, Cycling Festivals, Fringe festivals and even Garlic Festivals! But if it's something a little quieter and slow paced you are after, we have that too! With blue flag beaches and areas of 'Outstanding Natural Beauty' you can see why visitors return year after year to the Island, and if that's not enough, the Isle of Wight boasts the most sunshine in the whole of the uk, with it's own warmer micro climate it is a luscious place to be.

Freshwater

We are close to several superb beaches. Compton, a lovely National Trust beach is only 5 minutes away by car. Beautiful country walks, golf, tennis, horse riding, cycling and water sports are all available on our doorstep.? Shops, and attractive country pubs and restaurants are all within easy reach. We are also close to one of the main island bus routes.?

?The main village centre is 1.5 miles, the bay is about half a mile away. We are wonderfully situated for walkers being on the Tennyson trail and 10-15 minutes from the old railway line to Yarmouth, which now doubles as a cycle path and footpath to the yachting centre, which is 3 miles distan
