The Pembrokeshire region
Pembrokeshire in West Wales benefits from a milder drier climate than the rest of Wales. It is a peninsular with sea on three sides.
The Pembrokeshire Coast National Parks covers the coast and islands, the Preseli Mountains and the upper reaches of the Daugleddau Estuary. It is famous for its spectacular coastline and wildlife. The coast can be explored by boat or by walking sections of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path. There are bus services which run along the coast such as the Coastal Cruiser and the Puffin Shuttle.
Pembrokeshire is a rural county with a relaxed pace of life. Haverfordwest is the County town. Further north is the tiny city of St Davids with St David's Cathedral and Bishop's Palace. The market town of Narberth is a mecca for art and craft. Tenby is a popular seaside resort in the south.
Freshwater East is situated on the south coast of the Pembrokeshire peninsular between Tenby and Pembroke. This section of the coastline has fine sandy beaches and attractive coastal scenery. "Perfect house, beautiful beach"
We meet Jenny and she made us feel very welcome, house was spotless clean, so close to beach. We did kayaking there and enjoyed it very much. Freshwater East is a beautiful seaside and quiet.
