“Romantic, culinary holiday”

Reviewed 13 Jan 2013

I visited the apartment in January 2012 with my partner. Had a great time, I really enjoyed the nice kitchen with oven and espresso machine and the bathroom with a relaxing bath. There is a nice market just in front of the house. Lovely fresh vegetables, olives and herbs good for romantic diners at home. Close to the railway station, we visited Monaco, Nice and rented a car to drive up to the little French villages up the mountains with little art galleries. Many shops, bakery for fresh croissants and a big supermarket (5 minute walk) with lots of French goat cheese and rillette. Just cross the street and you are at the beach. Nice restaurants even off season. Most touristic shops on the boulevard were closed in January. Would love to go there again during the summer months.

Thanks so much for writing the review! Appreciate you taking the time.

“Great beach access for relaxing in the sun.”

Reviewed 7 Jan 2013

We enjoyed a week with friends in this charming apartment just a walk across the boulevard to the sandy beach. Marvelous self-catering features that would be wonderful for a family with children. Lots of reasonably priced restaurants on the boulevard just outside the building. Enjoyed a wonderful roasted chicken and potatos dinner purchased at the local street market that sets up just a stone's throw from the little porch/balcony. We also took day trips to both Nice and Monte Carlo via train (station just a short walk away).

Many thanks for your review of Residence Les Marines. Your view is much appreciated and am sure helps others to chose to stay there too.

“Great family accommodation right on the beach”

Reviewed 29 Aug 2012

We stayed at Frejus Plage during peak holiday season. It's a lively family resort with lots to do including boules court beside the appt., lots of cafes/restaurants, morning street markets and a night craft market along the main beach boulevard. The beach is great for kids. Super clean, sandy and gently shelving, although packed in august. That said we always got a place on the waterfront! The main advantage of this appt is its' proximity to the beach. It's right across the road meaning you haven't got to take picnics or valuables with you, and can stroll home in the heat of the day. The appt has a well-equipped kitchen, sky tv (handy for the Olympics!), two bedrooms, one of which has bunks and a single bed. It fits up to 5 people, ideally suited to parents with little ones as it's ground floor. It has a tiny terrace overlooking the boules court - your own cafe table for people watching! The only downside was the noise at night in the master bedroom but this wouldn't be a problem outside of July-August when the night markets aren't on. We hope to return next year.

Thank you for taking the time to write your review which is available for others to read.
